After doing so with the SLK 55 AMG just recently, engineers are now making the CLK 63 AMG even sportier: They are about to develop an exclusive, emphatically puristic special series, a car that sets new standards in handling dynamics ? the CLK 63 AMG Black Series - and not the CLK Facelift as previously reported. With the AMG 6.2-litre V8 engine, which has been boosted to 530 bhp, the numerous lightweight components, 19-inch AMG forged wheels, AMG adjustable sports suspension and AMG high-performance composite brakes, the special CLK 63 AMG brings its sports car talents to bear even more convincingly ? and cuts an impressive figure especially on racing circuits.

Broad, brawny and low-slung ? it's clear at first glance that the CLK 63 AMG Black Series is something very special. It offers a captivating view from the front with a redesigned AMG front apron and its broad openings, which supply the added transmission-oil cooler and the high-performance steering-oil cooler with plenty of fresh air. In addition, new side outlets made of carbon ? still disguised in our pictures ? ensure effective ventilation for the engine-oil coolers. The front wings, now wider, are made of reinforced plastic with ultra-light carbon-fibre composite material and feature black outlined air outlets.

The combination of low vehicle weight and a powerful AMG eight-cylinder engine ensures first-class performance. This CLK 63 AMG Black Series accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in only 4.5 seconds (standard model: 5.2 s). Power transmission is accomplished using the AMG SPEEDSHIFT 7G-TRONIC with manual drive program ("M") and AMG aluminium gearshift paddles on the steering wheel.

More horsepower than the regular AMG-63 range, less weight than the regular AMG's....should be one hell of a ride! Looks pretty hot aswell!

AND LOOK - It comes with two Stig's!

"Black Series" models will be available in black and silver FYI :)

Heres AMG's first exclusive model since their new performance studio opened - the SLK 55 AMG Special Series:

Why AMG, why no manual??

Nice looking though - aggressive without being OTT

This front bump looks allmost fake or cheap doesn't it?

I think you're on it with the "fake", this is still preproduction model.

Very interesting that even with less weight, more power, and supposedly higher market placement than the E 63, it's not any quicker to 100 km/h? I guess either there's funny stuff, or they just don't want to upset the E AMG owners. =)

Me like a whole lot!!!

because its a benz! It looks like the DTM version without the spoiler

Looks a Opel / Vauxhall concoction. Alot of silly crap tacked on. I just cant get past the front end.

that suspension

perfect ride hight!

That front just looks like a 5-year old stuck it on with sticky tape... Other than that, it's one mean looking mother...

Love those engine/performance figures too.

Read abit about these in EVO, sounds bloody increadable and they look amazing, i want money

"Black Series"... and they dont only do it in black? :?
Its Mercedes so obviously they'll have silver. IMO - silver looks best!

I don't know but the body kit looks cheap and doesn't really blend with the body. The five spoke rims look good on the CLS but not on the CLK.

Found a spy-video of this car which you can view over here. Makes for some good listening :D
