Craziness.... How can they say the car does 273mph?!?!
Is there even any truth to this ridiculous claim?

There will be when it's independently tested. Should happen soon from what I've heard.

Okay, I wasn't really aware of this cars existence until I read this.

That's because as far as actual real world driving goes it has only ever existed for a 1/4 mile run.

Congecture and speculation. Yawn.

Okay that Top Speed is complete rubbish. Look at the speed per gear table.
Gear Ratio RPM MPH
1st 3.82:1 7200 44.65
2nd 2.15:1 7200 79.28
3rd 1.56:1 7200 109.27
4th 1.212:1 7200 140.63
5th 0.973:1 7200 175.19
6th 0.656:1 7200 273.75
So 4th to 5th has a 35mph jump then it jumps nearly 100mph for 5th to 6th. That sounds like an overdrive to me and I serously doubt it will be able to pull to anything like 7200rpm in 6th.

That is a big jump, and a big claim. 1100hp sure, but to get to that speed?

keep in mind this is a kit car built by a small company, so i seriously doubt any of that stuff is even close to true when the germans cant make a 1.5 million dollar car do 260mph. The horsepower is possible, there quite a few very similar diablo replicas with over 750hp, one of which was J.C. Hamlin's roadser, built by these guys.

The diablo body is still pretty obvious under the 2 or 3 tweaks they did. Not my cup of tea really.

according forbes, the best british supercar is...the DB9 and the conti GT...my god-_-
