bikes are already more dangerous forms of transport, thats just a fact becuase the body is exposed, theres not much between you and the environment and their are idiot car drivers out there. bikers already have to be extra-vigalent in their observations to stay out of harms way, they ride around with their headlamps on during the day so people have a better chance of seeing them.

and your suggesting they should blonk out the next most useful sense next to seeing?

Wind noise stops you from hearing anything, so using an mp3 player isn't really that bad. If you like bikes & driving fast, earplugs or an mp3 player are almost a must. The wind at higher speeds makes a f*ckload of noise.
