For the first time, Denmark tops the rankings of The Global Information Technology Report 2006-2007 ?s ?Networked Readiness Index ?, as a culmination of an upward trend since 2003. Sweden, Singapore and Finland follow, while the United States loses ground in networked readiness, falling 6 places to 7th position. With record coverage of 122 economies, the GITR has become the world?s most respected assessment of the impact of ICT on the development process and the competitiveness of nations.

I'm not entirely sure how you can compare Networks from country to country, eg how do you compare Australia to Denmark, when Denmark would fit inside Australia 180 times?

You would be surprised at how many of this "rankings" get things wrong or skewed.
 
This is such a dumb survey. I'm pretty surprised Australia is that high up. A lot of rural Australia can't even use ADSL. It is difficult when you have such a large country and not that many people in the rural areas.

Fuck Denmark, they don't have the bitches we do.

The results are given in an index form. it would be interesting what kind of data they are using to calculate the index.

S Korea has one of the best high speed internet networks in the world, but they're talking about general information tech applications, including mobile information networks, which S Korea excels at as well, but that is also well implemented by europe and japan.
