Cool, an S6. Strange colour scheme though. Here our fast response cars are mainly Subarus. I've seen a few STIs and a lot of WRXs, most are silver with the green/yellow sqares, but other are just suabru blue with a green stripe down the side.

Doesn't look like it could actually transport a patient in there.

^ It's a doctor ambulance, only for transporting the doctor, there is a normal ambulance for the patient afterwards.
And they need to be fast, they are closing so god damn many hospitals in this country (yeah, it's danish incase you didn't get it)

Let's get things straight:

-L?ge = Doctor

-This is an ambulance for the doctors to rush to the scene. Not meant to transport patients.

-You cannot choose the colour on an ambulance.

They are quite varied here, it's to help resale.

I've also seen a dark green one.

Our Ambulance service has the same deal. They're not doctors but specialised Ambo's. They driver either Ford Territory's or Subaru Forrester GT's. Sweet.

ANd crap, that's a fast AND expensive doctor's car!!

it's probably a vinyl anyways. And i like those wheels but prefer the standard 19 inchers.

if it's important the police transport them in SS commodores (like for heart transplants and stuff)

Excellent choice - fast, safe, and the ambo / doctor gets to enjoy some luxury - bloody well deserved too.

In my city they usually have 330d tourings for that, but I think I saw 911s as well somewhere else...

"And I saw one the other day on Danish number plates... oh yeah.. was really cool!"

the ambulance station in Loughborough use a diesel toyota rav 4. i have no idea what they were thinking.

i think i remember seeing a few T5 volvos as well back up here in mboro

My Uncle drives one of them. They are always things like Astra Estates or Vectras. I think he uses a Zafira at the moment.

Yeah, but that's strictly for transplants and the like. The Forester GT's are for the MICA Paramedics that go alone (There are also MICA's in the vans). It's just so they can get there early and get the procedures started before the vans can get there.

I find it interesting that a doctor is actually dispatched to a scene.

I'm studying to become a first responder and we are first on scene. We do all we can to help stabilize a patient until an EMT arrives to further stabilize and then to transport them to the hospital where a doctor is waiting.

Depending on certain indicators the dispatchers over here decide to send out an ambulance or both. An ambulance and a doctor. Those cases can be suicide, attempted suicide, loss of conscience, drops from more than a few metres etc.

It's the only difference in the chain of rescue to the system you're using AFAIk.

Oh, nice car...

Interesting, you would never catch an American doctor doing that. They haven't made house calls in years... :(

Thanks on the car, it looks better in photos than it really does...

Well no wonder they have to close down a couple of hospitals if they get an S6 in Denmark. With your "funny" cartaxes that car probalby costs around 188 Billion DKR. ;)
