My Mini Restoration Project

Haha they look leather dont they. They actually feel sort of like leather too :)
Im sure ill keep it for a long time.

That interior ROCKS - great job all around. I think that you have had a decent plan but were smart enough to change it when the opportunity arose to improve things, and the results speak for themselves, very well done.

Are you going to post videos soon?

Man. That looks awesome, hats off to you for such an excellent job.

Man you sure did nice. Tho, I dont like the steering wheel, youve got new dash and white interior and then this worn racing wheel.
Is a somesort of cover available to hide the wires and tubes below the dash ?

I actually like the wheel, it may look worn but it doesnt flake at all, and there are no wires that you can see, the only thing is the blue tube which you can barely see anyway when sitting in the car :p

how long did it take you to complete its restoration? :)

Just a couple more pics

i like your steering wheel as well

makes a statement: "yes it's a looker, but the owner is still a driver, not a shower"

The best tip I can give you is to be sure what you want before you start the restauration.
Do you want to make the car completely original as it came out of the factory with all the original colours? Or do you want to make a "fun car" with a big engine and big wheels?
When you are completely sure what you want, then have a look what you need..and how much money you'll need!!! There is not only one restauration project out there which cannot be done because of the money.
There will be points where it will take more time and money than you expected..so don't give up..don't lose your goal out of sight and you'll be one of the stars of the oncoming mini-shows!! :)
I made some experience with the clio 16v i posted on this thread..
I bet you'll do it!!
I wish you all the best and not a single rusty screw..smile..
(sorry for my "fritz-is-speaking-english".......) :p

Thanks. Ive finished my restoration now. Restored to original with a color change, and engine spray, thats it. (also a not bad sound system)
