Telescopes

I'm in the market for one. I've actually always wanted one. There is a discovery channel store close by to my home, and they are closing down...they have several meade telescopes 30-50% off....i'm gonna keep an eye just in case they go lower. Alternatively, Costco has 2....

I'm going to find out the model #s of the ones at the store for some price checking. The thing is...i'm not even sure what to look for, and have no knowledge about telescopes. Suggestions?

A reflector telescope is defiantly the way to go. Whenever I go to the local stargazers club open viewing nights they all have reflectors. They say that objects show up more clearly than with a refractor. The tracking system on that reflector would make it really nice to have as well. If I could get one for half price I wouldn't hesitate to buy.
