I have another question, how do I "burn" subs permanetly on the movies. When I burned the movie and subs in the same folder the standalone player was not able to show the subs.

I have "blablabla.dvdrip.avi" and "blablabla.dvdrip.srt" is there any program that will do this?

Try program called VobSub. It has a nice little feature called DirectShow, that shows subs with any player. As long as they are in same folder with same name.
