Lens Flair

@Shawn I think those are 17 rims, can't really say lol car is not mine. Didn't get a ride in it too, my friend just got it and it's his first car with a stick, so I don't wanna get killed :p. Didn't ask him to let me drive it cause I had RX-8 in the line waiting for pics.

@Cosworth Hey ! Stop looking at the avatar :p

Kip: looks like you used gaussian blur. Use lens blur, it'll work nicer.

Iben: What's the mm on that lens?

Can you tell by the size of the font just how much I cropped the picture? :?

7 inches?

I only have a 17-70 so far, that pic i used for that effect was taken by Kip, presumably with his Nikon 70-300 VR.

What's a good size lens for motorsport photography?

Something that will at least zoom out to 200mm. Now, you have to really careful and selective on which lens you choose, because some...what the best way of saying it...take the picture too slowly.

Back in June, I was at Road America and chatted with a photographer for Racer magazine. He was using a 70-300mm Nikkor lens on a Nikon D2X, and in his bag he used a 18-200mm for taking pictures in the pits.

I would suggest a 18-200 lens, since it is super versatile in all conditions.
