Are you going to atleast port match them, or was that done already?
I dont have the equipment to port match anything.
I'm just wanting to get it running right now. I've been waiting way too long to get this fucker running and after all I've been through with it, that's all I really want right now.
Screw in studs and guideplates. But like i said, these just aren't quite as nice. A little dirtier, a little rustier, no ported exh ports. The exh valves are 1.60 (carried over form my other heads) but I kept the 1.94 intake valve. To fit hte 1.60 exh valve in place of the 1.50" stock valve, they had to open up the exh port a little, but they didnt really smooth out the transition, but I didnt pay them for a port job, you know?
So Ican definitely see these coming back off in a year or so when I have the equipment to do a proper porting job with air powered die grinder. I'll probably swap to a solid cam then too.
See the shiny part where you can still see the lapping compound in there? Thats where they did the valve job for the mega huge valve. The rest of the port is still the same size.
Not sure if that's going to really do me any real good to have that fat valve in there with the stock size exhaust port, but at least I already had it. Fucking $500 set of 8 exhaust valves. Ugh...
For the $600 I have in the new heads, and the $500 in the old heads, I could have bought myself a VERY, VERY nice set of aluminum AFR 180's or Trickflow Street heads.
