Hey,

There is a test patch out, in case somebody didn't get the Email...

Most important for me: You can still have Force Feedback while writing a message...

yeah, lost of ff while typing was bothering me as well.

also some nice options, like hosts can set that no restarts within 1st 60seconds, and no restarts while cars are racing. a few nice improvements images/smilies/thumbup.gif

I was also looking forward to the no restart things... That's what bothered me the most in the FG races... 10 restarts before we're good to go...
Even if I start first, get kicked out in corner #1 and have to do a pit stop-> that's racing!!!

Yeah, I know... Didn't have time last week, won't have time this Sat... At least I would be competetive at Aston... In South City I can go faster than 54 sec...

What probs you have with the clutch? I have used an other pedal set for clutch for some time now and it's workin great (= as good as the clutch can work in lfs. I've said to Scawen many times to make it realistic and he'll do that some day maybe for S2 final even).

^^ What's your concern with the Clutch? Realism wise. You want it to grip at a certain and defined point and not gradually over the whole distance? I guess you could set that with DX Tweak...

What exactly is a test patch ? Do I need it in order to race on the server now ?

^ you dont need it, it says its compatible, meaning you can join P2 servers without the patch. the patch is more interface like things, no car physics and stuff is changed.

anyway, why dont you just install it, its 1mb only. images/smilies/unsure.gif

Because I didn't want to install a patch that messes with my LFS version without checking for server compatibility etc first.

@Buba: about the clutch it would be nice if you could stall the car and the next gear wouldn't go on if you don't push the clutch etc.

and 20 000 km isn't much... there are guys with easily over 100 000 kms

My biggest contribution was the RaceAbout to be included in the game and betatesting physics stuff mainly (I'm almost a car engineer).

(You don't need to say that the RA has handling probs in LFS. I know it and it sucks, but they will be fixed.)
