| No it's not. ![]() Your replay was useless since you did it on a new patch, and i have a seperate lfs folder with max graphics settings, high res skies etc, that i use for taking lfs pictures, and I didn't install the newest patch there yet, so I had to make a lap with mouse myself. ![]() | |

| Fuel is 1.5 per lap. Did some testing. That is for my conservative driving. Add 0.2 to 0.3 for the faster guys. | |

| I basically rely mostly on high-res skies. Preview, download, & rar password here. A collection of LFS textures, suits, road textures etc, all kind of stuff in this thread. To be honest, I've seen only one road texture that is worth downloading, and that's a fern bay one, but even that's not really perfect. All the rest, when installed look out of place, imo. You can't have uber high res fine road texture, and the rest of the environment looking like crap. Gloves and racing suits are fine. You have some textures for buildings in the city tracks, those are ok too. Some car interiors and wheels are also nice. And you also have some textures for the ad boards in LFS replaced by real life brands, not a fan of those either since they don't really have to do much with LFS. Overall I think there are a limited textures that are worth the download. Even the high res skies are not really noticeable in racing conditions, only with a very high field of view. But well, just check out that thread, the rest is I guess "whatever floats your boat". ![]() Non LFS brands, and some too CG looking road texture don't float mine. ![]() Oh, this thing seems to be quite popular too, different reflection mode. Personally, I don't like that either, it looks out of place imo, too CG like, not fitting in LFS at all, but a lot of people seem to like it. Finally, this is also a good resource for textures, some overlap what's posted on lfs forum though, but still. Tires, road textures, brake calipers... everything. http://www.lfs-database.com/ PS: I play LFS nowhere near maxed out, 1280x1024, no shadows, no sky, no trees, compressed skins, reduced detail in mirror. Even though my graphics card can make everything really nice in full AA/AF, FPS will drop down if I boost everything, the more cars the worse. So for safety, and FSP sake, I turn off everything, and can race even with new max of 28players. But even so, at start with 28people I drop down to about 30-40fps. Otherwise it maxes out at 90-100, but recently I got some issues, and taking advice from ESPN i limited my fps to 70 or so, and it's all good now - more or less, I still get some random freezing and flickering every now and then, but I'm on a laptop, bad performance, worse cooling.... | Hope you make it. ![]() Btw, for those that didn't follow the new path thread: we'll still be using the old patch, latest stable official release, not the W9/10 test patch, to avoid confusion. So don't overwrite your old lfs.exe file yet, or do so in a duplicate lfs folder, since the newest patch is not compatible. ![]() | |

| I was expecting much worse, but was quite a nice race, both of them actually. 1st, terrible start despite having pole. I was trying to protect the inside so that firefox wouldn't overtake me, but with cold tires and a very tight line i overshot the braking a bit, directly into the sand. From then on it was maximum attack, pushing like mad, and it paid off. Very nice fights with ESPN for several laps, 1st I was playing safe, trying to overtaking him on the straight, then after few tries i managed, but one lap after fucked up 1st corner again and went through the sand so he overtook me back. Then I kept pushing again but lost rhythm a bit, and couldn't come close enough to make an attack. However it was ESPN's turn to mess up, he got a bit sideways after the 1st corner combination before the straight, and I went by. Then it was just pushing like mad, caught up to firefox, but didn't even have to try and overtake him, as soon as I came up real close he lost it and spun in the last 90degree right hander. 2nd race, terrible start, although this time not my fault, I believe MXM spun infront of me and dragged me with him. So from last position again, lagging behind started catching up. Didn't find my rhythm this race until the very end. on the 90degree right hander I cut the curbs perhaps a bit too much and got damaged almost flipping the car... That cost me at the time of the "accident" 2-3s and another 2-3 in the pit as well. Otherwise slow pace, only when firefox retook the lead, I started focusing more and doing very fast times the last few laps. Good racing overall, considering I don't like this car or track, I was expecting much worse, but I had quite a lot of fun. ![]() | |
