Finalgear Team Skin

Since most of the people liked the idea of having a league, i thought why not have an official skin. And also, lately when there were only 2-3of us that wanted to race during the week, we went to some public servers cos we wanted more racers. Therefore, its wise to have a skin, so that people know who those 2-3guys were that kicked ass. images/smilies/twisted.gif

Well this is what i came up with. Obviously, the base had to be black/red. Tell me what you guys think, and if you like it or not. I made this only for the fz50gtr so far, but if everyone likes it i will make it for every car.

That's looking good. But, I'd say let the people choose their own base color. Otherwise it's gonna be more difficult to tell who is who in our races. I would take the black-green gradient instead of black-red images/smilies/smile.gif

Noooo, just turn on 'names above cars' in the game. Don't let people ruin it, if you have 10 people, imagine the crappy colors it would have.

^ yeah, that does work. and if you dont use names above cars, you can always have a glance at the small thing down right corner on the screen that shows the current positions. images/smilies/wink.gif

+ most of us have their names on the license plate as well images/smilies/smile.gif

ps: or customize the colour of your rims images/smilies/biggrin.gif

I have names above cars, but it's always easier to differentiate people by colors if there're many cars at one place. 10 identical cars racing may look cool, but unpractical.

I don't see you point. Different colors are crappy by definition? Well, I disagree. Team-skins may have some common-pattern, but leave place to customize it individually. In this case I'm talking only about base-color. You can still recognize it easily as FG-skin.

oh, dont forget that we have huge numbers on the side as well, that can improve somewhat the ease of differentiation among members images/smilies/smile.gif

And I'd like white on mine. Dunno what texture for the stripe though. Checker flag? Some textured white? *shrug*

Yeah Pdanev, that's perfect! Most of the cars texture is FG, and the stripe is your own! I like it.
