Car: a slow one Rep Power: 0 ![]() | I managed to get a good time in Q, but both races sucked. |

| Good weekend, other than the disconnect from Firefox. ![]() In the qualify I didn't manage to get a decent lap, and ended up 3rd, after ESPN blitzing the track in the last lap. ![]() The 1st race was a bit chaotic. In the 1st half lap I was all over the place, and almost made a disaster before the slow section. I was heading down along with ESPN and Firefox, they got a bit sideways, and so did I trying to run a tight line and leave enough room. I lost it, jammed the brakes and miraculously managed to tame the car under the heavy braking swinging left and right. I made the corner, just! In the process I overtook both ESPN and Firefox and found myself in the lead. Firefox was following closely but didn't really make much pressure as the gap on the straights was big enough for him not to get any draft. However in lap 6 or so I messed up the whole lap and Firefox overtook me with ease. He starting pulling away, posted some really fast times while I had a lap or two with 2:02-2:03 times. I pulled myself together and started slowly but surely to reduce the gap. He made some mistakes, I assumed his tires were starting to loose ground, because he was sliding quite a lot. He made a mistake in the last corner, so I overtook him. Lap after I made mistakes, he took the lead back. In the final lap we were side by side half the time, with him overtaking me in the 2nd sector, but then messing up the penultimate corner. I got that well and had a better pace coming to the last corner. Lucky for me, he screwed that up too, so I passed with ease to take the win. 10 points for both of us, as Firefox had the fastest lap. 2nd race wasn't anything special, shame that Firefox lost connection, I was looking forward to another great battle. I would have suggested a restart, since it was only the beginning of lap 3 when he timed out, but it took him another few laps to rejoin so restart wouldn't have made sense mid race. Other then that, nothing special really, I pushed the last few laps to improve my pb and finally got under 2:01min. I think we can neglect the points I gained in the 2nd race when we come up with an overall result next time. Obviously Firefox would be out under the current situation, with me leading with 9 points. It's only fair if we don't take this race into account for both of us, that way we're still tie for the overall result. So, the final race will decide everything, I'm looking forward to that, especially because I'll be done on Thursday with my exams so I'll have time to practice. Should be a good combo too, cars are easy to handle. ![]() | |

Anyway AFAIK FF is only 5 points behind you (finished 6th and fastest lap).

| I suggested this because our results don't influence anyone else results in this situation. We are about 40 point ahead in the overall standings, so mathematically the 1st and 2nd place are going to Firefox and me. Hence, to have a more "fair" view of who performed better this season, I think we can disregard the unfortunate event of race 2 today where Firefox disconnected. Just like you said, there is no way to know what would have happened. I don't want a victory because of a technical problem Firefox had. I personally would prefer if all the points and battles are dealt with on the track, rather then blame a win/loss on a single disconnect. If everyone would be close in points together, than I agree with you 100%. However since we are not going to influence anyone else's result, but our own, I am happy to not take into account the points that were scored today by Firefox and me, and may the best man win next weekend. The official results table will be updated of course with the disconnect, but imo, when it comes to practically deciding who the winner is, today's 2nd race should not be taken into account. The alternative would be of course taking off the worst result from everyone, but that just makes things more complex. Simply disregard what Firefox and me scored today, and let things be decided by driving next week rather then technical malfunctions. ![]() | |

| Yeah, I know I am a a bit pedantic on things like this. But anyway I think the points are not going to make a difference anyway and such they are pretty meaningless. You could just decide that the one of you that gets the most points in the last two races is the best racer of this season, no need to change the actual points.

| Yeah that's what I meant. My idea was more like an unofficial "gentleman's agreement". Points will be updated based on the actual lfs stat output, but who will be the champion in practical terms should be decided within next race. ![]() | |

| Oh, ok. Sorry for misunderstanding, I have no problem with gentlemans agreements ![]()

| Hehe, np, I wasn't very clear now that I looked at my initial post again. ![]() On a separate issue, I don't have time now for a poster for the last race, I will make one one after my exams are over. The combo is FE Gold XRT/RB4, 2x20 laps. | |

| Not the Browser | Well this weekend was really an anticlimax Qualification, I thought i got pole but ESPN managed to get an even faster lap. First race was awesome PDanev got the lead with his spectacular manoeuvre. I thought he didn't was going to make the next corner but he did. The race continues with me a second behind PDanev. After some laps he made a mistake and i could overtake him. the following laps where quite 'slow' missed my brake points etc. The last couple of laps where amazing. Door to door fights I made a mistake in the last corner in the last lap. PDanev got more speed out of the corner and overtook me, and cross the finish first with a gap of 3 tenths. ![]() 2nd race was quite after mine timeout Router crashed ![]() Anyway I joined the race and tried to set the fastest lap. Which i did ![]() So next race will decide the winner of Season 5 ![]() @ Espn for creating an amazing poster.
