Default LFS veterans: what does LFS need to improve?

OK, I am by no means an LFS veteran (only had it about a month a bit), but those of you who are have expressed complaints about how LFS is out-of-date and needs new features.

What does it need? Of course, I've got plenty of time before I discover all of the features of LFS, but here's what I would eventually like to see:
- Rally cars and stages
- Real tracks like Silverstone, Laguna Seca, etc. (I know, costs of licensing BS)

That's really all can I think of for now.

Looks & sounds from GTR2, free roam city environments from NFS:U2/NFS:MW/GTA:SA, car list of Gran Turismo 4, handling of LFS.

Not that it could ever happen, but that would be an orgasmically good driving game for me images/smilies/smile.gif

Most importantly, tracks. And not the boring wide stuff. I want something with mountains, steep hills, tight corners etc. Also something uber long. Finally, something like a hillclimb feature for offline mode wouldn't be bad either, where one could run time attacks and upload to lfsworld.

And like others said, weather, changing grip and stuff like that wouldn't hurt either.

Better graphics I'm not keen on, I know LFS graphics is beyond criticism and way not up to date, but personally that doesn't bother me that much.

Oh, and I want more steering lock and a proper handbrake damn it, for the occasion when I feel like drifting. I have no idea why they ever reduced the steering lock so much in the first place, mancs & me emailed the devs years ago when this happened, they said for more realism, we replied back with a list of dozen of cars that have a much larger steering lock by default.

I agree. I think they're just fine. Physics and realism are far more important for LFS.

Brake fade, transmission failures/fatigues.

But really I love the game. It is the only one I come back to and play constantly no matter what.
