The long awaited Collateral Collision is finally here, which marks our first ever venture into LFS movie making.

Pushing the boundaries of the racing simulation Live For Speed, Collateral Collision is the result of a huge collaborative effort from the Live For Speed community, along with my dedicated passion for movie car chases. Our aim was simple - to deliver the most authentic representation of a movie car chase that was physically possible within the realms of a machinima film.

As a result, Collateral Collision was a hugely ambitious project, with incredibly long filming times and editing sessions. Not a second that you see has been overlooked and every sound you hear has been meticiously dubbed from other sources. To say the least, a tremendous amount of effort has been put into this project, in terms of both the filming and the editing.

To put it simply, we feel that Collateral Collision is the most definitive and comprehensive machinima car chase experience, which aims to mimic the likes of car chase staples such as Gone in 60 Seconds, Bullitt and Ronin.

As a lone driver sets off, little does he know that another malicious driver is about to give pursuit, with dire consequences that result in a grueling chase sequence of life and death. Think of it as Duel meets Grindhouse: Death Proof.

Megaupload?! Why can't people use proper hosting sites like Rapidshare or Filefront (which doesn't have stupid speed limits, dunno if it allows video though). I'm subscribed to Rapidshare, I don't want to go onto another site like it and have to wait hours. I want to see this though.

Ugh, rapidshare is very slow for free users, and it has a size limit so the file would have to be chopped in pieces and you have to wait forever before you can download every next one. Megaupload is MUCH faster for non paying users in my experience. Also, why not just watch it on the youtube? With HD turned on, it's very good.

About the movie, it's a good idea and well executed, I like the camera work (and I know how much pain in the ass it must have been ). Insane amount of work I guess. I would like to know what was your method, did you get the sound samples first and then tried to "act" over them?

But I need to say that I would enjoy it more if it was some 5 mins shorter You have overestimated the attention span of an average internet user.

I think the file was too large for Rapidshare, and most have said that Megaupload had good speeds.

I'm glad you enjoyed it, I basically did the videos first and then found the right sounds to dub over them. And fair comment about the length, it won't suit everyone but a lot of people have said that they didn't even notice it was that long I just wanted to make the ultimate car chase machinima that basically references to every film in the genre.

I thought the length only pushed it a little bit. You kept it fresh throughout. Very nicely done.

I gotta get an S2 license... but I have no wheel until September! Ugh!
