Default Live For Speed Question

I DLed Demo version a while back, and just finished all the trainings, when I want to go through other missions, it says that I have to unlock "S1".

There's also a registering in the game. images/smilies/wacko.gif Requires Username and password. I don't know what they're for.

This game is amazing, really realistic. images/smilies/smile.gif BTW, I can only drive 3 cars.

Can anybody tell me what are these all about.

Would appreciate it.

Answer to: How can I unlock LFS S2?:
If you have purchased an S1 or S2 license, you can unlock LFS S2 using your LFS username and GAMEpassword. This GAMEpassword you can create on your account details page .
On the first screen of LFS after you start it up, there is an "Unlock Live for Speed S2" button, which takes you to the unlock screen. There, enter your LFS username and GAMEpassword and press the Unlock button bottom-right of the screen. Provided you've entered the correct username and GAMEpassword, and you are or can connect to the internet, LFS should unlock.

for a game like it is, that isn't too bad, and the upgrades would be much cheaper too.

So, £24 for license and you also have to pay for upgrades?

It's not expensive. Altogether for both it's £24. That's cheaper than an ordinary retail game and gives a lot more return.

no, it's actually cheap for a PC game.

yeah. for instance, the game is in alpha stage, soon it'll be in beta stage. also it's gone from s1 to s2. so everytime they put out a new version, next would be S3, then you have to pay to upgrade. it's just £12.

I bought GT-Legends for $30 Canadian dollars. And it's a pretty nice game.

£24 would be something like $60 Canadian I guess. images/smilies/wacko.gif

Maybe we just pay more for our games, but you wont find retail games for less than £30 at launch here (about $55 or so?)

Also, you dont pay for upgrades. There are/will be 3 stages. S1 is done, S2 is in alpha at the moment and S3 (the next time you'll have to pay) won't be around until like 2008. The updates within stages (for example the recent big tyre physics update and the adding of the BMW F1 car) are free just like normal patches.

^ If you are referring to payment process, just follow the instruction, usually you have to give the card number, name of card holder, date till the card is valid, and security code thing usually on the back of the card.

And of course I agree with the others. It's not expensive at all, probably the best investment I've made ever in anything. Bought S1, £12, played that for a year, S2 came out, £12, playing that for more than a year now as well.

£12 per year, or actually more since S2 is far from being finished, is not much at all. It's about the money you'd pay if you take your girlfriend to the cinema and buy her a coke or something. That's about it. And you didn't eat, didn't go to party, didn't drink etc. images/smilies/wink.gif

You won't regret it. It's not an everyday simulator. You have a very broad racing community, lots of leagues, lots of servers for different types of racing etc. images/smilies/smile.gif

its actually not cheap for canadians...
usually, local publishers set their own prices, so prices of games vary a lot.
its good for us europeans or brits, because a normal new game costs 50€ here, while each stages of LFS cost me 18€, meaning if i bought now it was only 36€.
but thats around 50 canadian dollars.

now say salar got GT legends for 30 canadian dollars, that would make LFS almost twice as expensive, because he only payed 21€ for GTL.
the last time i checked the price of GTL at amazon, who usally have a good one, it was at 42€, meaning i would have to pay 60 canadian dollars for gtl...

^ Yes he has. images/smilies/smile.gif

There are no demo players here, only a few iirc but they never post in the LFS section. So pretty much all of us are licensed players. images/smilies/smile.gif

Question: Does Live for Speed contain a damage model? I know that the demo's didn't but does the full version contain damage?
