| I want such racing in LFS damn it, shame that we don't have enough people to pull off such a maneuver and cover the whole width of the track. ![]() http://seggons.gom-team.com/5_Wide_BTCC.wmv PS: If all BTCC races are like this I should start watching the series! edit2: I really like the feel of the track in the video, nice and bumpy, massive solid and relatively high curbs! | Don't mind if I join you do ya? Now that STCC has gone down the swanny, some good, serious FXO racing will go down a treat. ![]() | |

| Not at all, the more people the better, everyone is welcome. ![]() We gather usually an hour before the race for some warm up, setup exchange etc. Qualify, 1st race - no pit stop, 2nd race reverse finishing order start, compulsory pit stop. | |

| Not the Browser | I did some laps, and front tires where arround 70/80 degrees. I hope they will cooldown when i'm on the straight, or when they get thin. Personal Best: 1:56:46 You really need to know the track to go fast. For example you have to turn in before you see the inside of the corner. Release the throttle, let the car slide for a bit, and then full throttle till the end of the corner to keep the car straight. If you didnt turned in at the right time, you will be a few meters of the inside curb and you turn wide... releasing the throttle to get grip at the front tires, and loose time.

| Qualification List 1. Mischief007 1:56:450 2. FireFox 1:56:460 3. ESPNSTI 1:57:220 Come on ESPN, on a 2 minute track you can easily squeeze out that .8s. ![]() I didn't do any practice yet. ![]() | |

| I can do 1:58s all day. That 1:56 was probably during a race on the ex-STCC servers. I love this track. Fast flowing track. | |

Getting the exact turn in point is very important, otherwise you do end up in the gravel. | |

| Your Guide to TG/FG | Wow, two great opportunities to gain some points on pdanev, and events somewhat beyond my control kick me in the balls. ![]() I don't get these disconnects, I have absolutely 0 other network traffic going, and it's not like I've lost all network communication, I mean I'm able to reconnect immediately. Perhaps there's room for improvement in the LFS code for that. Oh well, still had fun though. ![]() Someone else can do the replay stats. |

| Squirrel Mincer | i can't understand why you get disconnected either, hope it gets fixed soon well the race was OK, i like that track a lot now. my race was more relaxing than anyone else's, which is why i was crap. if MXM does the spyker skin like he mentioned i would need to make a skin like a prius... i'm not really a part of these races am i? sigh |

| Catastrophic weekend for me! 1st race was boring, I was holding ff nicely back till lap 6 or so, even though he was faster he couldn't pass me. Sadly I ran very wide, and he obviously made use of that window. Couldn't catch him, when I tried pushing my tires went up to 85+ in no time. ESPN, unfortunately, witnessed what happens then. I understeered like a cow into the tirewall, making a mess on the track he couldn't avoid. 2nd race started awesome, the first 4-5laps were intenese fighting, ESPN in the lead, followed by me and FF at the end of the trio. ESPN was defending nicely for a very long time, very close and good racing. Sadly he lost it in the 1st corner, and I passed by with ff easily. Then I was holding back ff again, till lap 8 or so when he lost it somewhere and pit. His pit took very long, so I was confident I can take home the victory. I did my pit, very nice entry, no fuel no tires off I went, 78-79 then I just hit 80km/h and immediately bam, drive through, so I went off speeding through the rest of the pit. Came out 5+seconds infront of FF, it was lap 9, he would have caught me in the last laps possible even attempting a move, but imo I could have taken victory easily. Of course when I completed my penalty, I had no chance. Geeman passed me too, so I started pushing more and more. Before the last lap I gained about 1.5-2s on him and was getting very close. But then picked up some sand, and screwed up the rest of the lap as well so I didn't get a chance to come close enough and make a move. What really pissed me off this weekend is the loss because of not preparing. I didn't do a single lap on this track, showed up 1/2h early thinking it won't be a problem. I didn't have a setup, I didn't watch the wr replay and it kind of shows. I guess FF didn't do much more testing either, he also shows up for most races unprepared. However, I personally am only fast if I enjoy the setup. Throughout the years with LFS I realized that the only way to be very fast is to throw the car around aggressively. Accordingly my driving style in LFS has also changed, because when I see the possibility that there is still much more to get from the car, I don't mess around and push the car even more. Of course all this comes at the big cost of killing the tires in an instant. So for most endurance setups I'm not comfortable. I only like a setup when I push it to the limit, then I can hold a constant pace. However if a setup will work only if you back off, then I make much more mistakes. I am not on the limit of the setup, and I don't feel the car that well when I have to give it a rest. I prefer to make a setup, which is a bit slower, but where the tires will last and I can push it all the time. The bottom line is that I usually need an own setup that I am comfortable driving with. So for next race I gotta be better prepared and do some testing in advance, else I will screw it up again. Today I lost 5points to FF in the overall standings, which is not really good. Pole position isn't worth much without a suitable setup... What also sucked is that ESPN got disconnected. 1st, it would have been a better race. 2nd, he lost a lot of points now in the overall standings, which isn't exactly good either. Overall a bad weekend I think. Combo was alright more or less I suppose. | |

| First race started badly (again!) with a collision with Mischief on lap 2. I catched up pretty good though. MXM and I mowed the grass couple of times, which in the end turned out to my advantage. Second race was a bit more fun. Had some close racing in there. Made a new PB. It was little watered down by ESPNs and pdanevs misfortune though.

| Not the Browser | 1st race stats 2nd race stats I had a pretty good race, set was good. I didnt had too much trouble keeping the temperature down. Like i said before its more how you drive. If you miss the apex of the corner by a few meters, you understeer allot. Which cause allot of heat on the front tires. Like pdanev I didnt really prepare myself of this race. learned the track and had a good set. 1st race was really nice 2nd race was even nicer. Pdanev & Espn and me where fighting. and then Disco for Epsn, suchs a shame because it was a really nice race. The connection was very stable, although i saw pdanev jumping a bit, and ont he straight he was gone for half a second. Maybe it was just a server/connection glitch? ![]() Had a nice fight with pdanev. When i did the stats i saw the race from pdanev his point of view. Damn I was just waving about behind him. From left to right and back again. Just to make him nervous. |
