haven't tested it yet though, but i'm happy with the framerate improvement. Replay controls are great aswell, for leaque administrators to investigate a crash and for movie makers ofcourse images/smilies/smile.gif
So all, great patch although there isnt really new content.

images/smilies/jawdrop.gif I didn't think this day would ever come. So many hours wasted on those replays...

+ a quick update about the progress and the future of LFS S2:
Quote:
While most people will be happy to see these improvements, we predict that some will be disappointed that the other GTR cars are not yet done. But don't worry, the FZ updates are near complete and we are keen to get that released along with the FXO updates as soon as possible - but not in time for Patch Z which will look very much like today's test patch and should be released next week.

The remaining GTR updates are part of the needed updates for LFS S2 to lose the ALPHA tag. Some other updates that should mostly be done to get out of ALPHA are :
  • Improve collision physics
  • Break off wings instead of bending
  • Finish and release Westhill updates
  • Improve track shadow rendering
  • RB4 / UF1 / UFR interiors

Shouldn't the next update be S3? Or are they just gonna call it "Beta A" and do another 25 updates until S3?

I like the new interiors, I don't really like those new rims on the XR and XRT. I was actually hoping for interior updates for all cars, considering they had over 6 months to do it.

Oh well, an update is an update. Better than nothing. images/smilies/smile.gif

Just one problem from my point of view :S

One of the things i really liked in LFS was the wheel , and this new one is rubbish :S

No. S2 isn't even done yet. It's still in alpha (alpha in programs means that not all planned features aren't in yet). I don't see them getting all the planned stuff in in one patch either. The next version number could be 0.6A, seeing as the current version is 0.5Z. Or maybe they will have two letters or something like that and preserve 0.6 for S2 beta (or final). Also they don't necessarily have to do 25 patches in between changing the number, infact this is the first time Z has been reached.
Bottom line is that no one knows what the version number will be, but it's pretty certain that the next version will still be S2 alpha. Maybe in couple of patches we will get rid of the alpha tag.

It looks more like a normal roadcar images/smilies/smile.gif i think all the road cars should have different wheels, though, unless they are made by GM images/smilies/lol.gif

I bought a 750GB drive last evening. I have the update installed and I tried the updated demo with the mouse for a few minutes. I will be unlocking it and playing it with the Momo very shortly images/smilies/mrgreen.gif
