edit: bah, ESPN was faster making the thread. images/smilies/tongue.gif

Well, I'm really glad that my internet connection survived, given it's been bitching for the past days a lot.

Both races were pretty good for me. Qualifying didn't go well, so I had to start 3rd. Lucky for me that FWD doesn't grip that much on an uphill start, so I could overtake FF. Lonely didn't take long to make a mistake, and I was leading the field. I tried to get away as much as possible posting the best lap, however it also didn't take lonely long to catch up again, so I had to defend really hard. I knew its hard to overtake on BW R, had quite a few races a while ago on STCC/CTRA. The only way, well the only way if the other one doesn't make a mistake, is to overtake on the straight. However the draft isn't enough for a complete maneuver, so when you hold on the straight to the left, you won't be overtaken since you have the inside of the chicane. I was always keeping left, but not enough apparently, I was right on the line but there was still some space left of it and lonely after many attempts on the right side, finally made a move from the left. Then it was maximum attack, posted another best time again, but couldn't catch him.

2nd race was good too, got a really good start, gained 3-4positions. ESPN made a mistake, and then I was following Mischief who was in the lead. He is always hard to overtake, so I though damn... Unfortunately he made a mistake, so I got the lead again. FF crawled up, I was defending as usual, and after GraemeH posted best lap I was pushing even more to beat that and secure +1 point. I was doing really well, 57:50 2nd split on very hot and thin tires, best split in the weekend I think, should've been enough for a mid or even low 1:25 but I screwed up the chicane badly. Was holding my position, but before last lap end of chicane touched the grass a bit and left too much space inside, so FF overtook me and secured victory.

Very good season so far, I'm really pleased with the results and the action on the track. I was sweating like a pig today again, intense racing just like last weekend. images/smilies/smile.gif

On my fastest lap my second split was 57.48 and i screwed up the last section too, hopping over the kerbs and sliding into the last corner, so you'd have easily had it if you'd held it together images/smilies/smile.gif

Good racing this time, usually after the first lap there's no more action but there were battles the whole way through both races. First race I was concentrating on just keeping FF behind me for the last half of the race, and the second race after working my way past ESPNSTI i came within an inch of rolling the car, had to steer full right, which speared me into a barrier and i ended up facing the wrong way, so had to catch up to him and overtake again.

Good fun.

Yeah, the problem was my tires were really hot and thin then, exiting corners pretty well but very twitchy under braking, so I lost it terribly at corner entry. images/smilies/smile.gif

Race 1: Good race. ESPN passed me on lap 1 due to my mistake through the chicane and probably because of the damn wind. For the next 7 laps, I was trying to keep smack (from DSR) off my back and trying to catch ESPN. At lap 8, ESPN got onto two wheels and pitted. Luckily he didn't roll but was oh so close. Once I pitted on lap 10/11, GraemeH overtook me. I was steadily at the same time and sometimes a bit faster than him so I was relying on passing him when he stops. I passed him when he stopped and kept my pace till the end. I had nothing for Pete and Lonely.

Race 2: ESPNSTI and I got very good starts off the line (due to AWD) and we were 1-2 with ESPNSTI leading. The weight really hindered the faster guys off the line. On lap 3, going through the chicane coming over the hill, ESPNSTI lost it and went into the gravel pit before the long straight. I overtook him and stayed in the lead for a while until I made a mistake on lap 10 and dropped to third place. After that I just started driving and hitting my marks again. What was interesting is that the front 2 were not pulling away significantly from me. If it wasn't for the major mistake and some minor ones, I could have had the win. Oh well, it was some great racing.

Indeed, when you were infront the only time I managed to catch up close to you was when you missed braking or made some small mistake. But otherwise we were doing the same pace, I couldn't get close enough for an attack at all.

10 more laps. Even though I was damn consistent, according to the stats, I can't believe I let that slip by. Now I'm really disappointed. images/smilies/sad.gif.

Q: Good lap and my first pole.

Race 1: I really enjoyed the fight with pdanev. It was fun trying to get a good draft for the long straight and make a pass.

Race 2: I managed to pass GraemeH and ESPN and was 4th. On lap 4 or 5 I had too much speed into the chicane, nearly flipped the car, corrected it and hit the wall. Pitted and lost too much time, race was over. Could have been a great race.

Q, Couldnt make a 'good' lap untill the end. 2nd place.
Lost many places at the start, RB4's were quick of the line. Hell even Espn in 7th position overtook me before T1. Then i made a classic mistake, turned in to early, hit the buggy tires, and spun, Smack and Greame couldnt avoid me and crashed into me. images/smilies/sad.gif Luckily i didnt had any suspension damage, but i did lost time in the pit. So from the back making my way to the front. At the end it was close to Greame.

2nd Race:
3 words, great close racing. Again terrible slow from the line at the start images/smilies/tongue.gif Espn made some mistakes and mischief made a mistake a few laps later. Then it was a very close battle between pete and me. It was scary sometimes. Pdanev his car was very jumpy and hard to see when he braked and where the car was going. I could close the gap in the first sector, but I lost it on the straight. Sometimes i couldnt get closer with the slipstream images/smilies/wink.gif
Pdanev was kinda drifting from 1 corner to the other, and i knew his tires were worse than mine...images/smilies/mrgreen.gif He couldnt make the last corner anymore, run wide. And i could overtake him, and take the victory images/smilies/smile.gif

@epp_b, Don't quit! Practice, practice, practice. Most of the setups (wr setups) are hard to drive, 1 mistake and your race is over. btw, you are not the slowest among us images/smilies/mrgreen.gif If you got time to practice join the [FG] racing server, and maybe some will join you, and improve your laptimes. To learn the track its easier to follow someone than learn the track on your own. When the brake, when to turn, follow the ideal line ect. images/smilies/smile.gif
