Car: a slow one Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Good track for XFR & UFR, only couple places where you can roll if you're taking a wrong line ![]() I did some mid 1:48's today with my XFR race set. With WR set 1:47's should be possible. |

| old porsches do run! | Oh man, what a distaster was that first race ![]() I was neck to neck with espn, trying to keep him behind for 2 laps, until he pitted, went to pits myself on next lap and got a speeding penalty, argh. ![]() I was 100% sure I wasn't speeding. Because as I approached, I braked, looked at speedometer, see it going under 80km/h, press pit-limiter button and knock few gears down, then throttle on full and crawling over the pit-line. But for some stupid reason speed went up to 89 momentarily as pit-limiter button was already pressed down. And as throttle was fulyl open, it decreased really slowly, reaching 80 just as I rolled over pit-line. I was absolutely sure I could've finished in front of ESPN. I had zero damage, and pit went perfectly well, but stupid pitline is soooo freakishly long on this track, I lost 3 places on my drive-through ![]() But oh well, at least I had plenty of luck in 2nd race. I did a huge roll in first corner around lap 10 and landed on wheels! Front right shock was fully red, but that only slowed me down by 1.5-2s per lap, which was enough to finish the race. |

| Your Guide to TG/FG | 1st race was fun, some good battles with lonely, and epp_b, who seems to have gotten a bit better. The 2nd race was boring, since I dropped a wheel off on the straight after the first hairpin, which cost me 15 seconds and then I didn't see anyone else for the remainder of the race. Car: 2004 GP GTP CompG Rep Power: 23 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | To start, I got a little fed up with the car. I disconnected, went offline to practice, tuned the set a bit, and came back. By the way, FWD is the work of the devil. I can't remember how the first race went since I was just concentrating on racing. I don't know when I passed everybody in front of me. Once I got past Henry, I started pulling away. The only thing I remember is the fuck up on lap 16 into T1 with which Henry shortened the gap to 5 seconds from 12 seconds. I saw the 150 sign, then the 100 sign, full throttle still and I remember I forgot something. Started braking really hard but overshot T1. Too bad for Pete. It would have been a good fight with him. With race 2, starting at the back, I knew I could eventually get up to second. MXM did the right thing and got in front of Pete. Unfortunately I was having trouble with Henry. I eventually passed him, started to pull away, and reel in Lonely and MXM. Pete passed MXM at this point. I got Lonely and MXM on consecutive laps with the same move. After the S/F line, I went high with Lonely/MXM being at the bottom. I lost speed, they moved up in front, I went down low and powered up to be side by side. In T1 I finished the pass. After this I was trying to catch Pete but Pete decided that he would drive the living crap out of the car. Set my personal best lap time in the second race. Quite enjoyed racing today actually.

| ^ Damn that's lucky! ![]() Well 1st race... booo, I still can't believe I flipped there. The curbs are almost non existent there, completely flat, and those speedbumps are not something you flip on but rather driver through. Nevertheless I managed the impossible and flipped. ![]() After that I just went for a few fast laps, and did >50% of the laps to score the point for participation. 2nd race start from front, last minute I changed my mind from running R2 to R3, gambling well paid off. Tires were perfect, right front a bit cold, but at least I could trash the car into left corners and go full throttle with some understeer which would only do good and heat my tires up a bit. I was pushing really hard, for no real reason actually since I was leading after few laps. But I decided it would do my self esteem a bit good if I ran a really good laptime. Luckily I did, got several times into the 48 figures. Otherwise the race was not very exciting obviously, more like hotlapping for 16laps. I think the wind was a bit of advantage in the 2nd race, after the 1st banked corner it was pushing really nicely, into 6th immediately. Whereas in the 1st race I was struggling to get into 6th at all even after the long start/finish straight. Not a bad weekend overall, at least I didn't get disconnected. Of course I had other plans, on catching up a bit and making use of the fact that I don't carry extra weight, but well... 1 complete weekend missed, last weekend 1 race disconnect, now 1st race flip... I'm quite behind, but what the hell, so far the races have been rather exciting so I don't mind. ![]() | |
