Car: 2004 GP GTP CompG Rep Power: 23 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Bumps, walls, hairpins, deadly pit entrance. That's just some of the things to describe this track. Good luck .I'm using the RB4 since it is the most stable. The rear kicks out too much on the XRT and I refuse to use the FXO .The RB4 can put its power down wisely out of the corners.

Car: 2004 GP GTP CompG Rep Power: 23 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | 1:33s for me and I could do that all day. Unfortunately some of our drivers have gotten a best of 1:32 .

I prefer the XRT, its harder to drive, more contrentration compared to the FXO, which is just 'easy' to race with.

| What started out as a bad weekend turned out to be pretty good. I liked the RB4, but there were serious tire issues with right front. Then I changed to XRT, but the set wasn't at all to my liking, luckily FF had a pretty nice one. Ironically, it was the same that I used before only with locked diff. Race 1 I wanted to avoid touching anything or anyone at all cost so I wouldn't loose time in the pits. Sadly I the wind was immense and even though I went slowly into the 1st corner in the 2nd lap I hit the wall at exit, suspension damaged. The car went a bit weird sometimes because of this, so I was thinking about pitting in lap 4-5 but FF was right behind me, so I didn't want to give him a clear way. Waited for him to pit which was luckily relatively soon in lap 7 I think, and after that I did my pit too (9s because of the damage). After that he was a bit behind but caught up again, yet didn't manage to overtake me. His FXO was much faster in the 2nd sector on the tight twisty bit where my locked diff was giving me a lot of understeer so I had to take it slowly. But since there is no space for overtaking in that section, he couldn't come close to making a move. Only once we were side by side when I messed up braking at the hairpin but uphill rwd > fwd. ![]() Close finish, good 1st race. 2nd race was ok, good start off the line got soon 2nd position following mischief. For some reason I quite don't understand, but he touched the wall slightly, at least from what I saw, and the buggy wall at the hairpin sent his front in the air almost flipping him and ending his race. He had to pit obviously, too much damage. Took the lead then, and while FF was fighting with ESPN I pulled away. He soon was behind me though, and was following me closely just like in the 1st race. Then it was his turn to slam massively into the wall at the hairpin, probably forgot that the wind was unfavorable at that place during the 2nd race. Never saw him in my mirror after that, only that he was dropping places all the time. Easy victory from then on, I pushed even though I didn't have to, at least got a new pb & absolute best time, which gives me in total the max 21points for this weekend. ![]() Not the best combo I must admit, weather wasn't very good either, but generally not a bad weekend. | |

| Your Guide to TG/FG | 1st race I ran in the back of someone at the wrong time and spun. Lost about 8 seconds or so, and that's about how many I finished behind the winner. Race 2 was much more fun with a couple of decent battles with Firefox. Stats and points: http://download.yousendit.com/DA62CCE920320916 Epp_B, you seem to have gotten better which is good, but now that you're starting to mix it up with people, being aware of where other cars are around you is important. If you have a steering wheel with buttons, you'll want to tie a couple to the "look left" and "look right" functions. Also, if you're still struggling, try this proggie, it will do some spotting for you during the race: http://www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?t=27913

| ESPN, there is something wrong with either your points or burnsy's. According to his I had last race 60. Now I scored 21 so I should have 81, same as lonely, yet in your file I have 84. edit: ahaa, found the mistake. In your file you gave me last race 4 points for the 1st race on kyoto, where I flipped and ended up last, but since we never have a full grid that is correct. But burnsy counted that as 1 point only. ![]() | |

| old porsches do run! | Sorry for being a bit harsh during the race, epp_b, but you've basicly slided to my side twice in one lap Also, instead of laying on your roof in pitlane for many laps, waiting for someone to knock you over, you should've just restarted. It was only lap 5 or so, which is way less than what you'd lose waiting there.Repeating what ESPNSTI said, look left and right are absolutely necessary in the race. If car was behind you a moment ago, and now it's gone in the rear-view mirror, it's obvious that the car is on either side now. |

Came with a bigger gap behind pdanev, and had to close the gap again. It was some nice close racing. Gained allot in sector 1 and 2, but lost almost a second in the last section. 60KG+slow topspeed can't beat the fast XRT. 2nd race: The beginning was quite nice, with some overtaking and being overtaken. Made some errors and went downwards from then. Front right lower wishbone got broken, and couldnt take the lefthand turns at normal speeds. Meh next race please ![]()

Car: 2004 GP GTP CompG Rep Power: 23 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Next race as well please. Race 1: I just couldn't get into the 33s consistently. Stayed fourth and finished fourth. At one point I was behind ESPN but he managed to pull away. Race 2: Buggy f****** wall plus the wind. I think it was the wind that pushed me into that wall. It took me 10 laps to realize that. After that I just didn't care. Did a Shift+F so that I wouldn't see anything but then again the wind caught me out and had to pit due to suspension being damaged. Oh well.....

| Your Guide to TG/FG | The wind was definitely in a different direction in race 2, as all of us found out when we all overshot the hairpin on the first lap (which was quite comical). |

| I quite like that as well. Gotta be very careful in the 1st 2-3laps until you spot where exactly the wind is harmful. | |

![]() Its reminds me of this video on one of the CTRA servers:
note: not a single racer could make the corner :S. When you see the whole grid spun of infront of you, what are you gonna do: easy through the corner, or JC style poooowwweeer? Especially cars with downforce the feeling and loosing the grip in a corner is just great You can't 'hotlap' every lap, or enter the corner with the same speed, or the same rithm. You need to leave some room for error ![]()

| Actually it does vary during the race. It's at the same spot more or less but the power and direction is a bit different. Just do a burnout with high wind settings and watch the smoke go and change direction. | |

| Not the Browser | yeah your right about that. But it feels the same. The wind won't change 180 degrees ![]()

| The overall feeling is more or less the same, yes, you expect the same certain amount of wind in corner X. If you concentrate hard and there is a big shift though you can notice it. In race one the 2nd left hander (not the fast below bridge, sharp one after that) was changing sometimes. Even though I did my braking early sometimes I got the corner perfectly, and sometimes I came rather early and short. So there is some difference, but overall you are right, on average its the same. ![]() | |
