Season 4 - General Info, Schedule, Skin

Welcome to Season 4 of the Finalgear LFS Championship.

Throughout the whole season, only one car will be used - the Formula XR (FOX).
We kick off in old fashion, with a poster for next race.

The schedule for next season is as follows.

(I changed the last few tracks from what has been suggested before, FireFox agreed, MXM opposed a bit, so unless there is heavy opposition, schedule is like on the picture above. Few lap numbers have been changed as well.)

The skin colors can not be changed, except for the mirrors. Consulting MXM and FireFox I tried making things like stripes color customizable, but some colors just don't go with the color scheme. So after a lot of trial and error, the conclusion was to leave just mirrors paintable. Even though they are small, their color can be clearly seen from behind as well as if you are in front in your rear view mirror. Anyway, this has been discussed many times, I don't want to beat a dead horse here. I just hope you like the skin, in the rar package you can find the psd so you can change the numbers, a little read me file in case you are not so good with photoshop about how to change the colors of the mirrors, and the last file in the package is the font for the number (same as last season, so you should have it, but just in case).

Otherwise the season is pretty standard, Saturday, 18:00GMT start, 19:00GMT qualify, 10min Sprint race, reverse finishing order 1 hour Feature race with compulsory pit stop.

I think that's about it.

A few personal notes from me. I'm back in business, which is good and not good. Good because I missed LFS, bad because it means that I'm not in Singapore anymore, and I'm back in The Netherlands finishing off my university studies.

As for my stay in Singapore, it was awesome, pretty much the time of my life. I did a lot of traveling, met a whole new world, Asia is quite different from Europe. images/smilies/smile.gif

Singapore itself was just perfect, there was not a single thing worth mentioning that I did not like. Perfect weather, sunshine, palm trees, clean, organized, friendly people, delicious food, cheap, VERY good clubs, BEAUTIFUL girls. Anyway, more about Singapore and my last 1/2year in a different thread soon, with lots of stories and pictures. Nice to be back. images/smilies/smile.gif

Oh, I will miss 2 races for sure this season, next week's race and mid February as well, since I will be going twice in the near future to Budapest to visit my parents, friends etc.

i can't wait for the start of season 4. hopefully i can enter this weeks race, but there are no guarantees that my PC will be up and running in time. love the new skin too images/smilies/smile.gif

Not too bad, but I would have liked to see some of the more longer tracks. But I can see the reason why you removed them so it's ok.

Anyway nice to see the new season start, hopefully it will be as fun as last season. images/smilies/smile.gif

btw you misspelled FE Green on the schedule and on the poster images/smilies/tongue.gif

I guess i should start learning how to drive the fox now...I might try and get in on a few races (and by race i mean staying out of the way of faster people)

mgkdk, hehe, now that you mentioned, it does look tasty images/smilies/smile.gif

I'll be using green mirrors/rimms and full green helmet, so I should be easy to spot on road. Except from behind. But that isn't as important, because you see the name on top of the car if you want. Rear-view is what causing me problems..

So I encourage others who use this skin to do the same images/smilies/smile.gif
