Car: 1998 Subaru Legacy 2.5L Rep Power: 39 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Automobile Magazine tests the Alfa 8C Spider ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I didn't even know there was a Spider version of this! I actually prefer it to the coupe and thats unexpected seeing as I usually prefer the hardtop version of anything. The review basically says that it'll cost $200K (USD) and 500 units will be made. Thats heaps for what it is...but still...it's so sexy you'd pay anything right? The base of this car is the Maserati GranSport (not a bad start) but they add 20" wheels and lower profile. The only complaint these guys had were it's gearbox from the Maserati which has a heavy clutch. Other than that, it rockets uses its V8 to rocket to 100 in under 4-seconds. Man I want one ![]()

There is no replacement for displacement. - Wolfgang Bernhard, Chief Operating Officer, Chrysler Group talking about the Dodge Viper SRT-10 ... I ask Herb Helbig, vehicle synthesis manager for SRT and a member of the original Team Viper development group since day one, if they'd ever thought of adding traction control. "It comes with two," he says, pointing at my feet. "Learn to use them." Got it. - Motor Trend on the 2006 Dodge Viper Coupe, November 2005 |

| Bah the old 8c's (mmmm 8c2300) looked better Not to mention they are worth more.....lol.....Personally I think they should have saved the 8c badge for a Supercar, but Ferrari/Maserarti would never allow it. But yeah...its just..... ![]() Alfa Romoes first V8 since the 'ol Montecarlo......doesn't it look nice ![]() Last edited by kaBOOMn; December 14th, 2006 at 10:14 AM.. | |

| I'm not Moe | $200K is about a $50K more than i was expecting/hoping for. But having said that, i'm not complaining. It looks fucking gorgeous in both spider and coupe form - possibly the best looking car to come out in a while, its got loads of power, probably is a competent handler, etc. But the nice surprise is that they are actually offering a real manual instead of just the paddleshifts. I'm not sure if i'd have to take this over a Gallardo and F430, but if the Alfa sounds right there'll be no contest Last edited by bartboy9891; December 15th, 2006 at 02:16 AM.. |

Any how, I liked the concept grill more. The white around the inside of the grill(s) is ugly as sin. The small piece of chrome trim is so much better looking. http://www.dieselstation.com/archive...ne/index.shtml | |
