    I donated a little to wikileaks (to wikileaks itself, not the Assange defence fund). And I voted for Assange in time's person of the year. For now Erdogan (Turkey's prime minister, those votes are a bit fishy..) is first with lady gaga second (not fishy but a bit.. sad) with Assange third...

    Just ordered this little gem for my laptop: Nuforce Udac 2. I don't understand entirely how it works yet (it's some kind of external soundcard but not quite) but the quality seems to be exceptional and it uses a well-known open source low-level protocol for communication over the USB port...

    Do the spikes have any sense? I read some stuff about a soft connection to the floor causing the speaker to vibrate more which can affect the sound. However, I suppose dampening the noise will be more important than the last percent of audio quality.

    I have Wharfedale pacific evo floorstand speakers (pretty heavy). I'm moving them to my apartment which has a wooden floor with laminate. What would be the best option to keep the sound clean and the noise for my under-neighbour low?
