Cutting the strap won't fix the issue i have. If i cut it, i wouldnt be able to install the new strap since the bolt would still be stuck. The straps are attached by a single bolt on one side and have a T-shape on the other end to hold up that side.
Tried to drop the gas tank on the Yukon today. It didnt go so well.
When undoing one of the bolts for a tank strap, the threaded nut inside the frame broke free and now the bolt just spins. Cant take it out or tighten it back up.
Went to the hardware store for a new bolt and nut to replace it...

I don't think I can just pull the fuse. The sensors also enable traction control and i believe they play a part in how the car determines current speed. Plus, I'm still not confident at the track im going to so i would like to have the nannies functional for this event.
Managed to fuck up one or both of the rear wheel speed sensors on the BRZ today while installing extended lugs and now the car is stuck in limp mode. My only hope is I can get it fixed this week otherwise I'm likely going to be out the registration cost for the track day next sunday.
My friend has one and I guess the place he works also has a table thats certified to be 100% flat (forgot what those are actually called) and he said he would use that to check my rotors and the hats to make sure both are flat.
