    Unveiled: The Teslerr Model 3

Seriously, when I read the last few pages of this thread I know why I don't visit Finalgear anymore...

    Star Wars: The Force Awakens

SPOILERS AHEAD!!! I finally came 'round to see this one today. I recently discovered and then watched the Despecialized Editions of episode IV to VI to prepare for number VII. Now I'm not sure if that was a good move. In my opinion, The Force Awakens (TFA) is ok, but nothing more. Of course...

    Ownership Verified: The BumbleBeetle

A prize my Beetle would win on Finalgear?! What could that be besides a bus ticket or an air freshener that smells like the inside of Jacques Villeneuve's helmet? :P

    Ownership Verified: The BumbleBeetle

Well possible! My SO's relatives live in that area, so I'm there quite often. Next time you see me, just honk like a madman and go apeshit on your high beams!!! I'll be looking out for a blue Leon. Our cars are both quite rare in this config, so we should be able to spot each other. Yeah, I've...

    2015 Grand Prix De Monaco

Your explanation sounds reasonable, but I still don't really get it. Both incidents were very similar and even at the same track position, but the one that happened in the heat of the first lap (Alonso vs. H?lkenberg) was penalised, but the one which happened much later in a very clear and...

    Idiots + cars = LOL

If someone is 'asking nicely' (e.g. by using the indicator and waiting for someone to make a gap) of course I'll let them in, even in case I'd have the right of way but letting them in is the easier solution. But too many people are forcing their way into nonexisting gaps, and I'll definitely...

Anyone have experience with micro 4/3rds format cameras?

Sony alpha6000 with the kit lens. Very compact package offering great image quality.

    Random thoughts.... [Tech Edition]

The price premium is rather a consequence of the weak Euro/strong US Dollar. Every company that has manufacturing in Asia and sells in Europe is currently buying expensively (because they pay in USD in Asia) and selling cheaply. As a result, the majoriy of made in China products will become more...

But except the extremely rare screen fuzziness of my Note 2 I haven't had any failures with a Samsung. And I do know better, actually I'm very anal about all the details of such devices. I simply cannot report any serious issues because there were none.

That's weird. I've owned/handled 3 Samsungs now. The 1st gen Galaxy S was perfectly fine for 3 years (except the aging battery which had to be replaced) until I gave it to my SO. She accidentally submerged it under water without noticing. Mind you, she found it by calling it, and it still rang...

    The Android thread

This is interesting to me, I didn't know you're regularly fixing phones. Well, Samsung has by far the biggest market share in the western Android world, so given the failure rate is is about identical for all manufacturers, you will get far more Samsungs in your hands than anything else...

I held it, too. Mine didn't creak. Overall the Nexus 6 felt cheapest due to the plastic backside. The Note 4 also has a plastic backisde with fake leather, but it's actually made quite nicely. They both have an aluminium frame.

I understand what you mean, a specific device can have the "right" weight. What I meant that all devices which are in discussion (Nexus 6, Huawei Ascend Mate 7, Samsung Galaxy Note 4, HTC One M9) have a good build quality.

Ice, I completely see your point regarding front-firing speakers and build quality. However, I find build quality to be fine on all devices, even the Huawei Ascend Mate 7. I played around with it in a shop yesterday, and I was actually surprised by how solid and good it feels. I thought that...
