I've been using Xscope and I rather like it. Seems faster than Dolphin and a bit nicer than the stock browser.
I don't think so. I rather like My tracks for the whole stats it gives, but I somehow prefer the website of runkeeper.
For a while now I've switched from Torrent-fu to Transdroid. Better way to control Transmission in my opinion.
I did the same thing for controlling uTorrent. It's not as pretty, bu it gives more information and has nice widgets.
I just tried an ep of Futurama on my Desire (640x480, 1106 kbps 12bit XviD video, 192 kbps audio). No problems at all.Play DivX, XViD, H-264 and More on Your Android Device with RockPlayer
People have requested this for a long time now, but finally DivX and XViD videos can now be used on almost any Android device. XDA member opensky2 reported about an application called RockPlayer, which was released yesterday. The member is part of the developer team, that managed to create a videoplayer that lets you play almost any video file on Android. The only requirement is an Armv6 or Armv7 CPU with vfp instruction set. This is bad news for Magic, G1 and Hero users, because the processors of those devices don’t have vfp instruction. Supported video extensions are:
RockPlayer can play most kinds of video files including avi, mkv, rmvb, flv, mp4, 3gp, wmv, mov, asf, divx, xvid, and h264 formats. This version supports android versions from 1.6 to 2.2.It’s also nice to see that almost any Android version is supported. The application is currently in beta stage and expires on July 15th. This expiration can be removed with a patch, but the expiration date is there for a reason. Although the original download link will lead to an exceeded bandwidth Google Groups site, you can find another download link available at the bottom of the first page of the thread.
You can find more information in the application thread.

Dammit no Hero
This thing should be at least strong enough for SD-res divx, I mean, I used to watch TG on my 400 MHz Pentium II!
Just tested it with a couple of Dr Whos, SD avi was like butter, 720p mkv was a stop-motion film.

Watched 12x02 on my Droid using RockPlayer, and damn it plays beautiful. Definitely won't bother trying any HD files though.
I'll have to try again when I get some Froyo.
Holy fuck, Adblocker add-on for Dolphin
Pre-beta though so we'll see how this goes.
IMDB app now out for Android in the market. Works great.

How the hell do those QR codes work? Is there a separate app for them or something?
Barcode scanner, scan the code, hit buttons.
Barcode scanner is a must-have on Android. You can also share info from your phone via QR - just use the "share" option in a Contact menu (or anywhere else it's usable) and choose Barcode Scanner. It will generate a QR code on your screen, which you can scan with another phone.
I just grabbed it and it works as expected
Although, do I have any options if I am come across a code on the web, on the phone itself? Can't scan its own screen...
Now I have to try this.
Now thinking about it, it wouldn't work, the minute you open the barcode scanner app your screen would no longer be displaying the browser window![]()
