Default Bruno Senna?

Hi, I wonder if anyone can tell me who Bruno Senna races for these days, I was surprised he wasn't in A1 Team Brazil. Is he in GP2?

As much as Emerson Fittpaldi is involved in A1 Team Brazil, that entire series is a quagmire. And Emmo's history of running teams (unlike his history of driving) is, well...we can see where the team is now.

Bruno's got a good deal at Arden and with another season I think we'll see the flashes of brilliance evidenced in 2007 become more "full time" for 2008.

Oh he's at Arden! I kinda lost him after he left Carlin Motorsport. images/smilies/biggrin.gif Where can I see coverage of GP2 then, I haven't seen it advertised in England anywhere.

I don't know about UK coverage...here in the US Speed Channel is good enough to bring it to us in the morning before their Sunday GP coverage. Of course, we are just getting DTM coverage, so everything's a tradeoff. images/smilies/smile.gif

Yeah, but I must admit Emmo was very brave to get into managing and driving for Copersucar. The A1GP team seems to have improved a little, though, but it's still far from good.

Well it suffers from being a feeder series to Formula1. And that's not just me saying it - the A1 top guys are saying the same. In any case can't wait to see the new 2008 cars with the Ferrari engines.

Its not a feeder series to anything. No F1 boss in their right mind would pick someone straight out of A1GP. I mean, ChampCars and IRL are higher up the list than A1GP and its rare for someone from their to get picked.

That's gonna change imo, now that the a1gp bosses are negociating having a f1 seat for the winner of the series each year.
And ofcourse the ferrari they're gonna be driving next year. It's bassed of the f2007 and is supposed to have like 700bhp. Which is imo pretty much seeying formula 1 engines are around 900?

Senna and Chandhok join iSport
19 December 2007

The iSport GP2 team has announced its 2008 driver line up for the Asia and main series. The team came to an agreement with Bruno Senna and Karun Chandhok. Both drivers enjoyed a successful test with the team in the team's winter test programme.

The team admitted it was already impressed with Senna's capabilities when the Brazilian tested with iSport at the end of 2006. Chandhok was one of the surprises of 2007 and impressed the team when he tested with them in Jerez.
Source: http://gp2.gpupdate.net/en/news/2007...k-join-isport/

Good that Senna joined a good team, I hope he can win the championship next year. He was somewhat impressive this year and showed flashes of brilliance. I'll be looking forward for him to join F1 in 2009, depend on his performance in 08.

Anyone want to hazard a guess as to what team he'll be joining eventually in F1? I'd say that one of the two Sebastians will move from STR in 2009 to the Red Bull senior team to replace DC, and Bruno will move to STR under the leadership of his uncle's best friend (Berger).

Good analogy, still anything can happen in Motorsports.

Stupid idea if you ask me. You could have a crap driver get lucky and win a seat in F1 when someone who deserves it is in GP2 and cant get a foot in. Wont happen.

I think he's a very talented driver, shame that he didn't start racing earlier. He would do much better if he hadn't missed like 10 years of his career. But he's learning fast. This season will be very important for him, iSport is a team that he can win the championship with if he really has such skills.
