I just got the best birthday present EVER!!

As befits a true and proper petrolhead, I love A1 (went to seasons first race here at Zandvoort, Holland) and I watch every F1 race, no matter what time it starts.

Today, 1 day before my birthday, i got my birthday present. I joked about it, never thinking i'd actually get it.

But, when I came home some BD cards were standing on a towel which was covering something that had the shape of a baby. images/smilies/wacko.gif

I got the go-ahead to open the cards first. Eventually i removed the towel and there were 3 things:

1. Honda BAR F1 baseball cap (VERY good quality and stitching, it appears to be a true, Honda fabricated cap. Not an item you'd buy at a giftshop).
2. A small box saying "Strego Jewelers"
3. A somewhat bigger box saying "Strego Jewelers"

Then, i opened the small box. It was a Minichamps Honda BAR F1 car. My excitement got bigger and bigger because I knew what was gonna be in the bigger box.

I opened it, and there it was. Smiling at me, begging to be worn.

Now, what petrolhead wouldn't want something like this!?

The alarm and chrono sections actually look like rev counters and it isn't superficial. They have depth, like a plate or bowl if you will. The minute indications actually lie a millimeter deeper then the outer edges!

It comes with a 12-piece educated pitcrew. They do all the tuning and telemetry. They're setting up base in the attic as we speak.

will the pitcrew take care of things when the watch runs outta juice too? hopefully the refuelling nozzle wont get stuck on it afterwards too... images/smilies/lol.gif

What's the MSRP on the watch? Just curious as I'm a bona fide watch fanatic.

Yeah, watch fanatic here as well... Without the link to Honda F1 that watch goes for around 490e here in Finland so YES seriosly nice watch if you ask me... Have been drooling at it myself as well.

That watch would look totally stupid on my wrist. I'm pretty big-boned so I'm kind of stuck to my Seamaster GMT which has the biggest face I've ever seen. If I ever wanna upgrade I'll have little to no choice.

I love my watch though it's so comfortable. I kind of wish I'd gotten the black dial... white looks like a huge piece of jewelry on my hand.

im boring.. ive got a timex triathalon or something.. about 10 years old now.. looks very small and boring cheap and crappy but only replaced the battery twice in 10 years, and does everything i need.

Id like a chunkyish digital watch (cant read analoge very easily) but yeah.. one day maybe. This watch is very sexy tho gotta agree with that
