LE MANS: IN THE LAP OF THE GODS / DVD
LE MANS: IN THE LAP OF THE GODS YOUR PITLANE PASS TO THE WORLD'S GREATEST RACE
For a strictly limited period only this film shows what it really takes to enter Le Mans, the world's toughest race.
Experts like five times Le Mans winner Derek Bell and historian Brian Laban agree that this is an exceptional and rare film. You might dream of entering the Le Mans 24 hours but its unlikely you will get the chance. You have to be a brilliant driver. And you have to be invited for a start. And then only half of the chosen few will even qualify to race.
This film gives you access you cannot buy. Even if you bought the most expensive pit lane pass for thousands of dollars, you will not get the access this film gives you. Inspired by the 1970メs Steve McQueen classic Le Mans, this is a David and Goliath story. Martin Short, dad, racing driver and team owner, has a big dream: To be on the podium of the greatest race in the world - The Le Mans 24 hours. He has many famous teams to beat. And he has a massive problem ヨ his car is not yet ready. Is his big chance already under threat?
Itメs very rare for independent film makers like us to be allowed to film at Le Mans. Bigger Picture were given access to all areas ヨ to Martin, his family and his team and the race itself. There was no hiding from the cameras. This frenzied film shows how far you can get with determination, drive, passion and the confidence to take huge risks. It also shows how dangerous driving at 200 miles per hour really is, at night! In the wet.
The two part, 90 minute film shows up close what it takes to enter this most famous, dangerous, gruelling race, with unprecedented access to Le Mans and very rare on board footage. In Bigger Picture tradition, it is up close, raw, personal. You are left in no doubt as to how virtually impossible this race is to enter, let alone get on the podium.
Has anyone seen this and can comment on it. Right now the only place I can find it is on SpeedGear and it's high there. Here's the link for anyone who's interesred.
