Car: 2006 S2000 | 2008 Wrangler Unlimited Rep Power: 15 ![]() | Is there anything even remotely comparable to the Nurburgring in the United States? Have you heard any discussion of building such a track here? Where would be a good location? What would make the track good? Mostly I'm just curious, but I'd also like to spend time on a big track like that. |

| there was actually a pretty huge thread on /o/ about this maybe 3 weeks ago. the general consensus was that the nurburgring is an anomaly. There are no other tracks of it's size and complexity anywhere else in the world never mind the states. Trying to recreate such a track would be a HUGE and very very very expensive endevor and highly impractical. | |

While "there's" being applied to purals is obviously incorrect, I type like I talk and on this side of the pond where people actually speak the language, "there's some stuffs" is a lot more common than "there are some stuffs" I find due to syllables and such.

| Gulf Livery Rules | stuffS? Oh my god, this is getting worse... stuff is an uncountable noun, and as all uncountable nouns, it is refered to in singular, while meaning plural. There are only a few exceptions, but they only apply to cloths and scientific materials. |

Continent cut off." newspaper headline) all speak languages where grammar is very important, one of the reasons why Brits have difficulty learning Foreign languages is because English is very forgiving of Grammatical Errors, usually, and around 1963 we gave up teaching grammar properly so when we try to learn a Continental Language we make a pig's ear of it and give up discouraged. But the one thing that Continentals do not get is the idiom, and most can't tell the difference between the various flavours of English. The Dutch are particularly good at English, but you can always spot a non native speaker after a few minutes. |
