Webber should be able to get a win in 2007. Fisichella is there purely to make up numbers.

I say a Ferrari driver. Raikkonen if he can learn to be consistent.

no doubt that Webber can seriously be a contender, we just gotta wait to see how good the RB3 really is...

I think Massa has a good chance. He's already familiar with the team and probably that will make him perform better the first half of the season. If he's smart and consistent enough, may score the amount of points necessary to just administrate the championship in the second half. For Kimi tough, everything is new and for Alonso either. But one of them might get really used to the new situation and be a serious competitor. As for the other teams, BMW and Honda will grow, no doubts about it. Red Bull is a big '?' for me. Adrian Newey is good, but no miracle. Their new engine is also top thing... but I don't really feel it's their year.
And, I do believe Super Aguri will surprise us positively.. not winning anything, of course, but fighting for the 10-12th places on the grid.

I'm surprised only one person has mentioned Hamilton. Let me just summarise his major championship stats:

2002 Formula Renault UK - Manor Motorsport 3rd
2003 Formula Renault UK - Manor Motorsport 1st
2004 Formula 3 Euroseries - Manor Motorsport 5th
2005 Formula 3 Euroseries - ASM F3 1st
2006 GP2 Series - ART Grand Prix 1st

Now that's a pretty impressive record. In all but GP2 he's only taken 2 seasons to win the championship.

if Mr Schumacher can coax kimi out being a lazy git (he is still involved with the running of the team, is he kimi's manager also?)

then i believe it will be Kimi FTW.

alonso has already been there and done that, and then joined a high profile team with a win drought (similiarities to schuey career anyone? 2 years with flav, 2 championships then a jump ship to a respected team, but a team struggling to win)

unless mclaren get the car and engine right this time, i think its gonna be between kimi and massa, and i think Kimi will have more raw speed than massa.

so for me

Kimi

I said that a Honda driver was my pick, but in all seriousness....

Fisi must show that he can drive consistently every race.
Massa and Kimi must continue where Michael left off.
Toyota, BMW, Red Bull Racing and the new Green Honda's (Yep, they are bringing green back) need to become regular podium visitors.

So that said, It would appear that Alonso is in the box seat at the moment.

Learn to be consistent? Kimi is probably one of the most consistantly fast drivers in the F1 field. The only thing that hasn't been consistent about him is the car he's driving. And knowing Ferrari, hopefully that's going to change from now on.

QFT

when the cars on his side, he is consistently quick. the race where he had the 50p shaped wheel, he was mega quick then and showed how big his nuts where....you couldnt see shit from the onboard it was vibrating that bad.

mclaren were not doing it for kimi, which is a shame becuase i hate to see mclaren fail, but moving to ferrari is gonna get the job done for kimi. especially with michael having a say

I think this may finally be Kimi's year. Although you never know.

Personally I'm hoping its Kimi (but a bit sceptial...). Although he is much more likely than Massa.

Kovalainen has the speed, but he wont win it in his first year (plus they have to get him out of the fast Clio, which he seemed WAY too keen on...)

Macca still doesn't have the reliability (me thinks), but the team I'm expecting great things from is Red Bull (they wont wini, but they should be good).

I think Massa is a viable candidate and his pride might be somewhat injured when Kimi starts stepping all over his turf, cause you know, he's not MS. But that, and the existing experience with Ferrari just might give him an edge.

Kimi is my favorite and if he drives the Red One like he did in disastrous 2005, people will be constantly smelling his exhaust most if not all of the time. With the proven reliability and speed of the Ferrari, he may have no more excuses. He certainly is one of the very best and consistent drivers. It will depend I guess how well he can adjust to the new team and ride, ride probably more so than the team cause as great as he is, Kimi doesn't strike me as much of a team player to begin with. I think the highly structured Ferrari might have an axe to grind with their newest acquisition and it will be interesting to see what develops.

Unless McLaren does something "unusual", Alonso will likely fall victim to their mechanical wows and struggle. I would like to see Hamilton do good. He has more than proven himself in GP2 and I hope he gives everybody a good run for their money.

This year however, it is not about WDC for me. Kubica is whom I'll be watching most cause finally I have a countryman in F1 to root for. Go Robert, więcej czadu!
