It's absolutely official.

Any douchebag hackers who try to deface or devastate Formula One-related sites should be sent back in time, on May 1st 1994, at Imola, on lap 7 of the San Marino GP, lined up against the wall at Tamburello.

On another note... where in God's name are the turbo intake airboxes on the McLaren MP4/2? I've never seen them anywhere on that car.

f1rejects.com: returning. The front page is back.
itv-f1.com: normal.
grandprix.com: normal.
forix.com: the front page works, which is all I can see.
senna.globo.com: looks OK, though I can't read Portuguese.

Has there been another site that's been hacked?

Hackers are one of the more interesting things in Formula 1 in the past few years.

Audi had the Le Mans-winning no.2 R10 TDI on display at the Paris Motorshow.

It's already been almost 4 months since the race. But the car is on display absolutely untouched. And untouched as in...

Yep, untouched as in "car frozen in the state in which it was upon crossing the line".

I think it's great when cars like that are left in their as-raced conditions - makes them that bit more special.

More like battle scars.

I heard about someone doing a similar thing (might well have been Audi few years ago) but then some cleaning lady deciding to clean the car up when it was on display somewhere. I bet the car's owner was not impressed.

In a feature for TG Magazine, there was a photo shoot with this year's GT1-class winner 009 DBR9 and with the Charouz Lola-Aston Martin. Both the cars were used in the photoshoot in the same condition as the Audi, although the Lola looked slightly cleaner.

Maybe because they had to replace a lot of bodywork after a crash, before sending the car back out again.

I HATE THAT, I HATE THAT I HATE THAT I HATE IT.

I hate when they take a perfectly good racecar and just put it out to pasture. That car needs to be run damnit. Not sitting on a fregging plinth with walls around it.

Look at it. It's like a caged animal. It's heart-breaking. If that were any other race they would've smothered in in Mothers products and made it all nice and shiney for the next race, after a nice little bout of PR photos. But now it's just going to sit there and gather dust. The absolute OPPOSITE thing to it's very existence!

It's a DISGRACE! THE SHAME!

I mean look at it. Look at the loving detail of the inner wing. Look how the air would flow through that if it were moving. And look at those amazing wheels. Those wheels and suspension will never again feel the reassuring weight of 5,000 pounds of downforce while they're screaming through a kink at 160 MPH. And the winglets. Lets us not forget the brave winglets who would sacrifice themselves, throw themselves into a position where they KNEW they'd get knocked off by a competitor, or a sharp bump. Yet they put themselves in harm's way for the sake of aerodynamics.

It's enough to make a full-grown child cry.

Audi and Dallara must have made at least 7-8 R10 tubs+drivetrains, so they can rotate them around, since they're not going to have more than 3-4 racing at the same time. So they can put this one on display like this, keep it like this for some time, and then maybe bring it back to the track.

If anyone is interested, A1GP and Superleague Formula are running races today and they are streamed on the series websites. (superleagueformula.com and a1gp.com). They are at Zandvoort and Zolder respectively and both tracks are really wet.

Damn, that's pathetic. But, then again, the TAG TTE P01 engine never had the size of the turbos on either the RA166E Honda, the EF15B Renault or the BMW M12/13.

Okay. Forget your first race, it was a disaster. This is only the second race for your new team.

Your team-mate has crashed, and you're leading a GP for the first time.

It's pouring down and the track is awash, there's a Safety Car in front of you, and behind you is a three-time World Champion and... oh yes, his name is Ayrton Senna, and he's Brazilian and this is his home Grand Prix.

Okay, wise guy, what would YOU do?

Mansell's stroke or Prost's stroke?
