Yes, and not only that. If you don't forward it to five people in the next five minutes, you will get alzheimer's, forget all your loved one's names, then you will get a fatal case of Type C Boneitis, afterwards, a Nigerian army general will empty out all your bank accounts, and the government will crush your cars and post the videos on youtube.

I'm not surprised. You can put an eye out with a caravan wheel falling from 50ft.

The "1967" scenarios sound a little too apple pie...sharing aspirin with principal, break a window...grow up normal...become a sucessful businessman. I don't see the connection with that. Get in a fist fight, shake hands...end up best friends?

And the scenarios for "2007" are more the exception than the rule.

Sure, things have changed....some things for the better, and some for the worse.

Apple pie, maybe, but even I've seen times change since elementary school. Things were a bit more rough-and-tumble and fights were common. I can think of 3 good friends I had that I didn't know very well until we beat the snot out of each other and gained a bit of respect for each other, that's just how it worked.

It's part of the continued pussification of society. There were no whiny suburban emo kids back in the day, and there's a reason for that. Kids used to have to deal with their own problems, now they're told that a good dustup is a terrible thing.

Yeah, a couple of my best friends in school were kids I hated and eventually got into fights with.
Afterwards it all seemed like a bit of a joke and we laughed it off.

Not saying it doesn't happen, I went through the same thing with someone as well. I'm just not sure if that has really changed at all, and if it was ever the norm to begin with. Because i'm sure we've been in fights with people and haven't become friends with them either.

And sure, I think kids have changed. But it's more the parents that are to blame in that regard.

This new-age health/safety culture is really bonkers. Everyone is too uptight. It's not just schools either. It's everywhere--the workplace, out in public, etc. Soon we won't even be able to carry Aspirin in our homes or drive with the radio on.

Yeah, I long for the good ol' days when you could slap a female coworker on the ass and not have to worry about the bint filing a sexual harrasment suit the next morning.

LMAO!!!!images/smilies/biggrin.gifimages/smilies/lol.gif

But this is true in that society is a lot more careful which has resulted in overpopulation and wimps. If we really had it right playing in traffic would be a regular game and if you got hit and didn't get up we would get to shoot you with our laser guns.

I remember in middle school I'd get in (rather weak) fights, and by the time we made it to the principals (and that bitch was far from my "pal") office, we were joking around with each other and pissing off the secretaries because we wouldn't shut up. Best part was, each time they called my dad in, he'd tell them he's gonna let me spend the day of suspension at Disneyland. images/smilies/thumbsup.gif

I've repeatedly tried to point out to the faculty, obviously in vain, that if they let some students fight it out, bullying would likely decrease. Most bully's aren't stopped until they find out you can beat the ever living fuck out of 'em.
