You guys are right, all bad things in history, particularly the Holocaust and those involved should be removed from history and blacklisted. No one need to be reminded of or even know about such people.

Or maybe people have to realize that because he was a prime example of what humans are capable of and is one of the most recognizable figures in recent history this statue does in fact belong in the museum.

My thoughts exactly. The darkest times of our history should not be kept from the view of the public. In fact, everyone should know about it and how it came to be that way. Everyone should know so that nobody will ever, ever, let this happen again. It was people's ignorance that allowed Hitler to get to power and it was their ignorance that allowed him to start World War II. If anything, people should be knowledgeable and they should be aware of things like this. Yes, sure, through seeing this, other psychopats may be born ... but there will be a lot more standing in their way.

History is history and not showing something that had happened would be ignorant. And Hitler has been a figure that had impacted German history ... very profoundly, if I may say so. He was a very bad influence and gave Germany a bad name in the world at the time and through that he shaped the future of Germany and the entire world. Why shouldn't he be depicted in history books and museums? If anything, Germans should proudly display the wax figure as a monument of how far they've come since that day and age when they gave into temptation and followed a murderer down the wrong path.

I agree.

Hitler's only real achievement was to demonstrate the world how much a so-called "civilized" nation can degenerate, when the circumstances are right and the men at power are completely ruthless.

We now have an example of how bad it can become and thanks to that example, no one will ever be able to say "I didn't see that coming" ever again. I only wished that lesson came for a lower price.

Anyway, that's why the memory must be kept alive and that's why nobody can say it doesn't involve them.

^Exactly, well said. It can't be let to be pushed away and forgotten about because that only increases the likely hood of it happening again somewhere in the world. That's why it's taught and that's why kids and everyone should know about it, so the citizens of the world won't let it happen again.

I find the whole thing rather amusing, a guy (it´s said to have been a bet) rips wax-hitlers head of.

If it were my Wax-museum, would I have put Hitler into the expedition? No, I wouldn´t have. But for educational purposes (you can surely argue about tussauds being "educational"), I don´t see anything wrong with it in general.
