Aussies in industry get yo butts in here!

evening gents

in a year an a little bit i'll be graduating, hopefully with a first, from Loughborough University in Meng (Masters) Mechanical Engineering.

Basically i want out of the UK as soon as physically possible.

Does anywhere in Australia need people like me? would they want people like me?
would it be wise to wait for Chartership (i.e Ceng) before attempting to set up shop on the other side of the globe?

Any Aussie Engineers here who could, in theory, help me out?

other than that i was also thinking of going into the financial sector right out of uni just because of the impressive salaries. (though im not sure how much id enjoy it, but it might be worth putting up with if the monies right)

plenty of jobs in all sorts on engineering over here. shouldn't have much trouble getting a job, especally if your willing to go out into the middle of whoop whoop and work on the mines.
