It's in the other States too, but maybe not as popular. I grew up in Indiana and it was a big thing when we were kids.

Snus is big in Norway to.. I'm actually an addict now, fuck, I'm going to stop when I
need the money for something else but it's kind of relaxing and nice to have if
you're bored because it takes your head of being bored..

I think it's illegal in many parts of the world but I can't see why when it's just the
same as cigarettes, only without the smoke part. Which basically is what kills you.

It's big on the East coast too. I find a lot of younger (<18) people do it more than older. Maybe they think they can get away with it easier than smoking.

Yeah, smoking is worse, but both cause cancer. Just searched the web and about 30,000 americans are diagnosed with mouth or throat cancers from chewing, and those who diagnosed rarely live more than 5 years images/smilies/sad.gif

I don't know anything about the relations between cancer and american chewing tobacco, but the norwegian surgeon general removed the cancer-warning on snus sold in Norway because studies couldn't prove it caused cancer.

I think snus is illegal in the UK and I have never seen chewing tobacco on sale here nor have I ever met anyone with the habit.
