| OK, this is driving me mad, so I thought I could ask here. I have a set of data, about 1000 points with the x axis running from -10 to 10 and the y axis being the variable data that plots a simple bell shaped curve. Now, I want to spread that data over a larger number of points, say around 2000. Now I know I can't just make more points so I'd like to average the curve over a larger number of points. Is there anyway to do this in excel or other graph software like Origin? Will be grateful for any ideas.

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | DPlot: http://www.dplot.com. Trial version at http://www.dplot.com/dplotsetup.exe. The Equal Intervals command on the Edit menu will do what you want, with several options for how the new data is interpolated. |

| You sir are an angel, especially for joining purely to help me! I'll give you some rep, but I hardly feel that expresses my gratitude!
