As long as you watch it with the realization that HHGTTG has existed in many, many forms. Even the print books were different from one print run to the next since Douglas was alwasy tweaking them.

Just realize that this is BASED on HHGTTG and you will be able to enjoy the film, I did. I liked the new take on Zaphod, and Mos Def was a great Ford. My favorite character was Trillian, in the BBC series she always struck me as being a real bimbo air-head; this Trillian is much closer to how I imagined her from the books.

We are a bunch of car guys here, if you have not read HHGTTG just read the first part of the first book to find out why one of the main characters is named Ford Prefect.
