Dieselstation under new management = migration to Finalgear!

So Diesel sold Dieselstation, and its under new management, which isn't going down too well for the regulars over there. http://forums.dieselstation.com/inde...howtopic=22708
The forums are littered with ads and shit, so it's all gone to kack basically.
I know a lot of the Dieselstation users are Finalgear users too, but there might be a lot of new peeps from there on these forums now!! images/smilies/biggrin.gif

I personally think it's great shame as Dieselstation was/(is) a great forum, especially the photography section!!

Big news indeed!

Now the last time I was on DS, us FinalGear members were taking refuge there whilst the site moved or something. So its only fair now that we provide those DS members with a home until they figure out what they're doing with their lives. Might I suggest you DS guys bring your suitcases as you might wanna stay here...

My lasting impression of the DS forum is quite good. The community is similar to FinalGear in many respects. I'd have no probs with an influx of DS members!

Now Viper - your not planning on selling are you? images/smilies/mrgreen.gif

I read the thread (the one posted at the top of the page) on the DS forum and is it just me or does the new owner seem like a younger version of the rich and crazy Texan from "The Simpsons"

yup... that was pretty fun, I remember some of them actually got annoyed at us as some members were reviving old threads to discuss for some reason I think...

If I recall, Ren was more active on DS so maybe it'll lure him back over to Finalgear... haha

I didnt really mean there would be a flood of new members, just that as DS may be going to shit, new members from DS (if they havent already got a FG account) might come here.

However, they may see this site as just a Topgear/Fifth Gear fan site, as I believe it was set up to be, way back when.

This might put them off if they don't find this thread or flick through the threads/groups.

The photography section on Dieselstation was great. Some really talented people over there, I used to like checking that every now and then. Hopefully things don't change too much.
