Default Driving Exotics...

Hey guys. I was searching the forum today because I suddenly decided to join one of those driving clubs that allows you to drive their exotic cars for a relative fee. Janstett's thread here was what first got me turned on to the idea. I was just curious if anyone knew of any other US companies that offered this service?? I remember seeing one that cost roughly $700, but can't remember it's name. Can anyone help me out? images/smilies/thumbsup.gif

Where do you live? If you live no where near Illinois, then ignore this post.

Here is a list of exotic car clubs.

http://www.forbesautos.com/news/feat...r-clubs_3.html

You'll want to ignore the $30K per year ones and look into this one:

Quote:
Exotic Car Share Club
Palatine, Ill
www.exoticcarshare.com
888/358-7524
Notable models: Alfa Romeo Quadrifoglio, Chevrolet Corvette Z51 Convertible, 1969 Corvette Stingray, 1969 Mustang Mach 1, Plymouth Prowler, Porsche Boxster
Fees: Initiation is $250 for three years. Cars are avialable at $330 per day for a three-day weekend (Thursday through Sunday, or Friday through Monday); plus $150 per day for Ferrari models. During the week, cars are offered at $214 a day (six days: Tuesday through Monday); plus $100 per day for Ferrari models.
But here is the catch. Sure you can drive a Ferrari 355, but you MUST rent for a minimum of 3 days. So if you do the 3-day weekend deal, its $1440 for the Ferrari. If you want to drive a Mustang Mach 1 or a Stingray, its only $900.

hmm, the manhattan one doesn't sound too bad, but it's not exactly what I'm looking for.

I live in PA, btw.

I may have found a good one for you, but you need to be 25 to qualify.

But for comparison, here it is.
http://www.exoticcarrentalsnj.com/RentalRates.htm
A Gallardo for $650 to have for 8 hours doesn't sound too shabby. Comes with 75 miles included and $1.50/mile on top of that.

The second best deal I found is this one located in NYC, and you only need to be 21 with a clean driving record.
http://www.gothamdreamcars.com/new-y...car-rental.htm
$700 gets you a new M5 for 24 hours, $895 gets you a Porsche GT3 for 24 hours. A F430 is $1750 for the same time.

What you could do is, drive to NY and leave your car with them (free of charge to keep your car in one of their garages), and drive back to Pennsylvania in familiar territory. The next just drive back to NY and get your car back. Just make sure you have some money to blow.

Damn, thanks man. I'm 21 so the second one looks nice. I'll look in to it more and see what I can find.
