I doubt it makes a difference anymore. There are plenty of other countries willing to sell/do electronic stuff in this connected day and age. (countries like Israel, France, Russia etc. come to mind)

The avionics have seen constant upgrades and more are already in the pipe. The F-15 is a dynamic aircraft capable of many modifications and upgrades to keep it competitive.

My library of Jane's isn't that much either. I have three recognition guides (Tanks/Aircraft/Warships) that I liberated from a family member a few years ago.

I have a Military & Civil Aircraft encyclopaedia of some rare(as in not well known) looking publisher tho i cant find any reference online, but some great stuff, all the way back to 1909 images/smilies/biggrin.gif

Oh man, I read that book back in high school, my Social Studies teacher had a copy. I found one with a different cover in a used bookstore here in Calgary, but they wanted like $90 for it. images/smilies/sad.gif

ahh i love this plane

pretty funky considering it popped out of the 70's.... i didnt think they'd have the computing power to fly a plane like that because it no a typical aircraft shape really. was it this thing that had 4 levels of redundancy on the controls?
