Well I listened again, he doesn't say the car is a Ferrari, but he says the driver, together with Philipe Massa and MS forms the driving team at Ferrari...and you can see the yellow label on the nose

It is a ferrari, no doubt about that, driven by Luca Badoer. what else could it be, a minardi...?? And as Berserker says, no advertising is allowed in the Olympics.

no doubt it's a ferrari, but i would expect that if ferrari showed up on such an event, the horse would be all over the place

Ferrari doesn't "need" the publicity, plus I think they consider it an honour just to be able to take part in the Olympics.

images/smilies/lol.gif @ the "DRINK" button on the steering wheel.

I can imagine a peg of beer in the nose of that Ferrari. Or that would be the case if a F1 car would be made here in Belgium.

They mentioned it was a Ferrari in the video, and I'm sure they mentioned it in the Canadian broadcast I watched yesterday.

Bad luck to all the people who watched to opening ceremony but missed the ferrari bit... I watched about 30 seconds of it, and it just happened to be the section with... yep, you guessed it, the ferrari. The fireworks straight after that bit were great too... the way they spiraled around the stadium... anybody else see that bit?

Edit: Just watched the video that was posted in this thread, and the fireworks were included in that.

OK, that proves that the Dutch should NOT have had soccer commentators do the voice over for the Olympic ceremony, cuz they know jack shit about F1. I swear they said it was Valentino Rossi in that F1 car. Either that or I seriously misheard something.

yeah they said it was rossi, I thought they had taking a risk of putting rossi int the car. What if 'Rossi' stalled the engine because of the lag of experience in the car.
well it was a nice performance. images/smilies/smile.gif
