I Prefer Fifth Gear on Top Gear
Just because Tiff has glorious past...after all he was a professional driver...
And His opinions sounds more reliable than Jeremys' opinion....
But Jeremy has his unique style....what makes Top Gear actually fun to watch....

I just voted for Top Gear....... well you have to don't you? It's the original going back 20-years or more. I remember watching it as a kid, presented by the same guy that would do the Farnborough Air Show - really can't remember his name now though.

Fifth was just a bunch of disgruntled presenters that jumped ship and now copies the premise of TG.

The only good thing about Fifth is the fact the look at more than just the car, they also do the crash tests, driving techniques etc. but the competitions are just typical of TV these days.... getting people to spend a fortune answering questions that my dead rabbit would know.

Top Gear is way better then 5th gear. Sometimes I can laugh the shit out of me when watching Top Gear.

Remember the Scene with that Alfa 147 and Hammster who can´t drive it anymore images/smilies/lol.gif images/smilies/lol.gif images/smilies/lol.gif

Okay 5th has Vicky.....her looks are ok, but her laugh is terrible images/smilies/yucky.gif

Top Gear is more entertaining because its really funny. Its got that sarcastic British humor when they make fun of cars and each other, and even the audience members and celebrities. It just seems like 3 ordinary guys hanging out, but who also happen to know their stuff about cars. I like that.

The only good thing about Fifth Gear is the respect I have for Tiff. If he weren't on it, the show would probably be too dry to sit through.

And Vicky isn't that hot images/smilies/sad.gif
I'd rather see footage of Sabine at the 'ring images/smilies/smile.gif
But who cares - we're all in front of our PCs right now - if you want to see hot chix use google!

I prefer Top Gear for entertainment but Fifth Gear for the actual reviews. Jeremy has no consistnecy but he is a great entertainer. I also like Fifth Gear for Tiff's racing backround.

Top Gear over Fifth Gear. Jeremy the Clown is entertaining.
But I would want to have both shows on, the more the merrier.

Vicki is not so "pretty" but she does have sex appeal. I suppose it is really a case of to each one according to each one's taste on women. Her laughter is not "lady like proper" but it appeals as a naughty hint of passions that lie within.

Top Gear is just the program everyone could like.
I think it's one of the best entertainingprograms ever.
And its about cars too images/smilies/smile.gif What do you want more?

Jeremy's humour is so dry it could suck a whole olympic swimmingpool in one second or so.
The way he says things is absolutely hilarious. I often laugh it out loud.
One thing that anoys me is that Jeremy keeps making fun of people in the public. It's always about their lookings, that's very easy humour. And that's a big difference with his overall fine, dry humour.

On the other hand, I don't think Jeremy isn't one of your heroes you want to meet in real life (in comparison with James' meeting with the Lamborghini Diablo). I think he's a big egotripper.

Top Gear is a great program, because in a test, they look at every aspect of a car. And they just can explain things so properly. They say things about a car in a way I could only dream of.

I love Top Gear but the only thing I don't like is James. I think he is not the worst person who could be on there but he doesn't have as much personality as Jeremy or Richard.

Top Gear all the way guys, but come on, why the Vicki bashing, I think she's a fun girl, much better than the skinny celebs we got in Hollywood here( I like my woman with a little bit of weight on her in the right places). Although I should add my opinions are strictly limited by what I see on the show.

You should've put an option like "I like them both". I like TG for its entertainment and for the chemistry between the presenters but I also like Fifth Gear for its informative and professional test drives and other interesting stuff (I liked the comparison between a car with ABS, traction control, ESP and one without, for example). If I want to buy a car, I listen more to what Jason, Tiff or even Vicki say (although she's a girl and things she likes dont necessary work for men as well) rather than what Clarkson says. 8)

I agree with the generalization that TG is more entertainment and FG is more factual. Problem is FG takes itself WAY to seriously, specifically Tiff. Great is was an F1 driver blah blah blah, does not make him interesting and frankly I think he is a snob. Clarkson has this David Letterman thing about him where he is an arrogant cock but still manages not to take him seriously. Hammond and May are comic relief but actually have something to contribute with Mays DRY sarcasm and strange quirks and Hammond plays a good mini me to Clarkson. Vicki is "eye candy" for no other reason than she is female on a car show. It is not like Liz Hurley and Pam Anderson are co -hosts here. I realize she is a racer as well but they have a bloody card board cut out of her in a mini skirt on the set (I THINK ITS MEGA!images/smilies/bangin.gif ) ...........Tom Ford has personality but they seem to be keeping him off the set. The skinny guy, well i can't be bothered........
