FinalGear Shirts 2009 Edition, Design Contest

For those who are good at designing things, you have until March 10th to PM me your entry for the 2009 FinalGear Shirt.

They will go up for vote for a week, take orders, then have them printed up.

Winner will get two free shirts, and a prize that's to-be-determined.
    Runner-up gets a free shirt.

The design only needs to be on one-side of the shirt, as does not *have* to incorporate the FinalGear logo. It can, but it's not required.

    Ready? Set? Go.

    Boilerplate legal thing:
All entries submitted will be property of FinalGear.com. We can/will use what you submit, and you will not be entitled to revoke the usage of said content. Also, please do not submit any copy written materials, or designs incorporating trademarks/copyrights of others.

Final choice of the winner rests with the sole discretion of FinalGear.com i.e., if we choose we can simply ignore all your votes and pick what we like.

We are also changing the brand of shirt this year- it will probably be American Apparel instead of Gildan. Heavier/more durable material, but also more expensive to make.

Cool new T Shirt, you mention that the design needs to only be on one side of the shirt, what goes on the other side?

FinalGear logo, maybe. Depends on the design.

    Questions :

    1. Is there a colour limit? The last FinalGear shirt used only black ink.
    2. Are you looking for a finished design or can we submit in-progress ideas (say, if the time limit runs out)?

I'll have to put the photoshop contest entry on hold.

Since I'm wearing the 2008 shirt right now (and very nice it is too) I feel I have to enter. Also I have a few ideas.

Edit: I would imagine it's black only. That's what I'm going to work with, anyway.

Prize wise, can FG stretch to a copy of photoshop CS3?

Do we have the FinalGear logo as a vector EPS or AI file. That would save some time for the creativeness.

Single color is highly preferred, as these are screen-inked shirts (one color at a time).
You can submit in-progress ideas for feedback, and a final revised version when it's time to print.

Unfortunately, that is waaay beyond the budget. If we sold 1200 shirts, then sure..

5 days isn't much time for a design to be made.

There is no replacement for displacement.

... I ask Herb Helbig, vehicle synthesis manager for SRT and a member of the original Team Viper development group since day one, if they'd ever thought of adding traction control. "It comes with two," he says, pointing at my feet. "Learn to use them." Got it.

Good - the difference is like a burlap bag compared to a silk shirt. Gildan is the brand of tshirt given away at trade shows.

Think of it as a Top Gear Challenge. I mean how hard can it be?

Just the one, I'll rummage through the forum and try and dig up the old T-shirt threads.

    Edit: That was easy.

Another edit: Are we allowed to submit more than one design?

Yes you can submit multiple designs.

I have received a handful so far, and they are very creative.

I am in contact with a few shirt companies now, so we may be able to get better color choices/shirt quality.
Also aiming to have them shipping by the 2nd week of April...

Colour of the print or the shirts? It would be nice to get some different colour shirts, not that I don't like red, it's just, uhm, red

It likely wont be red this time.. all depends on the color of the winning design.
