as far as i can tell this is how it went:

Yeah as long as you stay out of deep mud/sand because it is too heavy and stay off of big off camber rocks because the chassis and tie rods are too weak.

It's not just the tie rods. The steering knuckles have a bad habit of splitting in half. It was on the news in SF a year or two ago. A woman in her H2 bumped a post in a drive-thru, the impact cracked her steering knuckle and her front tire came off! In a bloody drive-thru! The impact could not have been more than a couple miles per hour.
