I do the same as you. Whenever i go out i wear a hat. My Aussie type had is the most frequently worn, then a cap. I have a Trilby i think. I even have a Fez for around the house sometimes. I have a novely Guinness hat i got for a Birthday.

Im trying to locate a hat store round where i live, but no luck yet.

At first I was about to write a response that harped on about how men do not act with chivalry and reverence around a lady. As I thought about it however, seems to be a good thing for us.

I do the same things as you. I open doors, pull out chairs, stand upon leaving and arrival from the table, and always try to do anything I can for a lady even if we're only friends. This practice has paid off in spades for me as the woman (or other women) notice it and wish their "man" would do it for them. In the last year since I've started really intensely doing this stuff I've gotten a lot of attention from the opposite sex. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the attention, but I'm simply doing it to be a gentlemen and respectful.

If every guy did act like a gentlemen, sure the world may be a nice place, but i wouldn't makes guys like us special (in that regard of course, I contend we're plenty special anyway"

We had a really good thread about this a while ago. It was pointed out that one of the obligations of a gentleman included dueling.

I'm working on that, I have my second session with a rapier on Sunday.

I used to fence in school and really enjoyed it. I only ever used a foil but our group had classes in Saber and épée too. I want a sword cane when I get old.
