Honestly...I kinda think this was a set up. How many cell phones actually have a red dot showing record. And also the guy works for geek squad, if it did have a red dot he would have hacked that out like I hacked out sound effects. She also states that once she showed her sis the memory card, that tey went back to the bathroom and the phone was gone and they then found it in the bedroom...come on, he would kinda notice that there was no mem card as the phone would't start up.

Also the girl seemed kinda...how do I say it...dumb, seriously. She said that the phone tech from Verizon had to find the file...a teenage girl doesn't know about a cell phone...I call BS on that.

Actually, my phone will work without a memory card, as it also has 20MB internal memory. As for the girl that seemed dumb, her younger sister seemed to be the brains of the operation.

I doubt they had camera crews there at the time to film what happened. The guy in charge of the news station probably just said "Quick! We need footage of somebody working on a computer! You! Coffee boy! Open up your laptop and look busy!"

Mine does. When I'm recording, there's a red dot with the word "REC" next to it on the LCD display, letting me know it's recording.

There were 2 other people there...not that unusual. I had to take a shower to get ready for work while there was someone here delivering my oven. Not a big deal.

How the hell would he have known she was going to take a shower? Not only that but he managed to do it in enough time just to catch her in the act in the 30 second window most phones have to record?
Are you serious? There are people who put hidden cameras in bathrooms all the time, and it's not like they are running in their to hook it up the moment before a woman goes in...it's there for hours recording in the HOPES that catch something good. Also, my camera, with it's 4gb card, can fit nearly an hour and a half of video. on it's card. It runs until it runs out of memory. Time to buy a new phone, buddy. Still using our StarTac, are we?

But does it have a red dot on the outside of it? Like where the camera is b/c thats the only way she could see it right away and from where she is.

She didn't necessarily see it from across the room. She may have just seen the phone, picked it up to look at it because it didnt' look like any of their family's phones, and noticed it had the "Red Dot of Record".

So, one question remains: how long before someone tries to defame her and posts some nude or semi-nude photos of her which end up being one of Yahoo!'s "Top 5 Searches" of the day.

I just don't understand why the dude couldn't do what normal people do... download "hydraulics films" and be happy. He deserves to go to jail for being too stupid. I know he wanted to tape her and then upload it on the web... but that too, is for weirdos.
