Default Happy 4th of July!

Happy 4th of July weekend to all you fellow Americans!

To the Europeans and all else who don't know what the 4th of July is, it's our Independence Day - 228 years ago, we declared ourselves independent from the Brits. But just think, if we hadn't, we could be getting the BBC and stuff over here. images/smilies/sad.gif

Anyway, so what are you guys doing this weekend? Blowing shit up? Watching town fireworks? Nothing?

I'm just hangin' out with my dad and having a barbeque. images/smilies/smile.gif

Nope, it's not. I have family and good friends in the U.S. of A., and I don't mind seeing a bit of patriotism now and then. At least they have some - we just "celebrated" Canada Day, and around here, it seemed like people didn't care what day it was, as long as they didn't have to work images/smilies/wacko.gif

Hey not all Canadians are anti-American. I may not like some of Bush's policies but that doesn't mean I dislike Americans.

^ I LOVED that rolleyes.....hahaha. And that's enough of bashing Canada day....what's wrong with you guys? Canada day is the day Canada became a nation, not the day we won a war. Just because it came about in a different way, doesn't mean we can't be proud of our country. The problem is that far too many Canadians couldn't give a shit (at least where I live) about it.
